  • What will happen in court?

I traded my 1993 ford probe to a kid(16) for his 1994 toyota 4ruuner. The probe broke down a day later. Now the boys mom is saying that she never gave her son permission to trade the truck (she is saying he took the title and had it notorized without her permission it was in her name)

The boy says that the notary said it was ok for him to sign his mothers name.

The boys mom said that she is going to take us to court for recieving stolen property.

The truck now has a clear title in my dads name.

I dont think she can take us to court unless she reports the title stolen by her son and turns in the notary who will surely lose his license if their story is true

What do you think will happen in court? ... will i get to keep the truck? .... it really wasnt the mothers ... it was the sons truck just in her name ... same as my probe that was in my fathers name(to save $ on insurance)

I didnt do anything wrong ... the boy didnt bring up the title issue untill the probe broke down. after the title was transferred into my dads name.
