I was swiping on the Bumble app and then a person came up where it said they were 10 miles away, but on their profile, they put that they live in a city in the state next to mine. It's happened before. How come, do you think?

I have this good picture of me. I want a new profile pic, but my friend (who is a girl with a boyfriend - the boyfriend also has a picture with the same girl in his profile pic) is in it and I can't crop it out without cutting me off. I was in a restaurant and looking at a few paintings when a waitress my age came up to me and said, "You like those? That's my favorite!" Then she pointed to one. I pointed to another. I said, "I like this one because it reminds me of my ex-girlfriend." She said "Oh, sorry." I then said, "Its been a year and a half and I still haven't gotten over her." Then she became silent and walked off with a smile while saying bye as left the restaurant. I messed up. I am trying to get over my ex, first off. I could have flirted with her instead of bringing up my ex. Maybe she was interested in me. Who knows. What do you think I should have done or do in the future?
