  • Why does my toddler act up at the store?

Every time I take my toddler to the store he screams the whole time. If I put him in the cart he either cries, or won't stay seated. If we take him out and let him walk he sits on the floor and won't get up or he runs around and won't follow us. He never listens to us. It's horrible. What can we do in the store to save ourselves from a meltdown? We take snacks to keep him calm, he just throws them on the ground. We try take him after meals, early in the morning... just nothing works. I just want to give up on going anywhere with him. Please help.

  • I had a C-section for my 1st, which should I choose this time?

I had a c-section for my first child 2 years ago. I have the option to have a vaginal birth or c-section this time. My doctor said I could do the vaginal birth this time if I choose to because for my first I had an emergency c-section just because he was breech. What your your thought on which one to choose for the 2nd time around?

  • Should I help my brother?

I have a brother I have let stay with me twice. He stole money and things from us and he brought drugs into our house. My brother is 26 and I am 22. He did these things in a house where I try and keep my family safe. I am married and have a 2 year old with 1 on the way as well. I was talking to another family member of mine who said he is in a homeless shelter because the people he was living with couldn't pay their rent. Should I help him out again or should I finally let him learn from his mistakes.

  • Marriage problems... please help!

My husband and I have been married for almost a year. We are 22, so a little young. We have one child and another on the way. Problem is, WE NEVER GET ALONG! I will ask him something (like "why don't you wait a few more minutes to take your shower?"), he will snap back, then it all starts. This happens about 5 times a day. He sleeps all day now, doesn't play with our son anymore, and always says I'm critizing him. All I do is try to help him out, or ask him if he will pick up after himself. But because he is so forgetful, and I have to ask over and over again, he just gets mad. I know there is an underlying issue. I just want a divorce because I'm tired of being treated like crap, but he wants to be together. He says we can't get divorced because its what I want. NO, I think it is whats best for my children. They deserve a good, non fighting home. We have been to counseling twice but a relationship is team effort, so the counseling never helps. Please give me some advice.

  • I've tried to diet, but I'm always hungry. What can I do?

I have tried so many times to just eat healthy food 6 time a day in very small portions. I can't do it. I'm ALWAYS hungry. I've tried to fill up on water. I've tried other activities to get the hunger out of my mind, but it's impossible. I started on antidepressants last December, with birth control pills on top of that. I started gaining weight. I have put on 20 - 25 lbs since December. I quit working just a few weeks ago, and before that I worked in a warehouse. I quit the medication thinking it was making me gain weight, but I'm still gaining? What can I do? I went to my doctor and he said he didn't know. I have never been this heavy except when I was pregnant 2 years ago. Any help would be great.

What is the best thing to eat?

How can I suppress my hunger?

How much should I exercise to have the biggest impact on my weight?

    What exercises help the most?

  • I am not attracted to my husband at all. Please help...?

I have been with my husband for 4 years. I am not attracted to him at all. I was at one time, when we were first together. I think everything we have been through has really changed my perspective of him. I love him a lot, but I'm not in love with him. He argues about everything with me, he always has an attitude towards me. He always goes through my things and says I'm cheating. I can't have an men as friends, and all my female friends he just calls horrible names. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am so tired of this relationship and it is putting a strain on me as a wife, mother, and person in general. I want to fix it but I have no idea how. Please help.

  • Can a family of 3 live off of E-1 military pay?

I am joining the Coast Guard. I was wondering if a family of 3 (my husband, 2 year old son, and myself) could live off of E-1 military pay in the beginning? What ways can you cut cost in order to live off this pay?

My husband will be staying home with my son for a while, and neither one of us want to stress out about money. Is this possible?

  • Is it rough on your family while in the Coast Guard?

I am joining the Coast Guard. My son and husband will be together while I go to boot camp. I am looking to stay on land as much as possible. I know that this isn't always likely. I know they put you where they need you, other than that you have your dream sheet. Does anyone recommend any specific places. Land Stations, training centers.... anything like that? I don't mind leaving my son when he is a bit older, he's only 22 months right now. I guess I just want to have the best of both worlds at this time. Is that possible?

  • Is it wrong to leave my son with husband for boot camp?

I am leaving for boot camp for the Coast Guards on May 20th. I feel like none of my family is proud of me. My son is going to be staying with my husband while I'm in boot camp. Is it wrong of me to leave my 22 month old son with my husband, or his dad, while I go? If it isn't, why is everyone making me feel like what I am doing is wrong?

  • Is it hard to be a single mom in the Coast Guards?

I have a 2 year old and I am soon going to get divorced. Would it be hard being a single mom in the coast guards, or the military in general?

  • How does the Coast Guard affect your family?

My husband and I have a 21 month old son. We both are wanted to join the Coast Guards. We were wondering if anyone has any advice for us on how this may affect our family.

Does it work out if both parents are in the service?

Is it better for one parent to be in the service?

Are the benefits better or the same when both parents are in?

Is it possible that we will have to hand our son over to another family member at times? (When or if we both are out at sea)

    * My husband and I are both stuggling with the thought of which one of us is going to join. We both want to. After I saw the waiting list for some of the careers to get into A school I was a bit disappointed. Any advice?
