  • House of Lords Lewisham v Malcolm 2008?

Consider the impact of the judgment of the House of Lords in London Borough of Lewisham v Malcolm [2008] UKHL 43 on the protection afforded to disabled workers and analyse how far the current law goes to protect disabled people in the workplace.

Hi just want to make sure I am answering the question correctly. My structure is to discuss the correct comparator as decided by the court with comments from the judges and how it limits almost all examples of cases that have failed. Then discuss how that is enacted in s15(2) and talk about the Equality Act 2010 and talk about cases that protect disabled workers.

    Any comments? Much appreciated.

  • A sort of riddle...?

My boyfriend got me a present but he doesn't want to tell me what it is.He drops hints but I don't like surprises because I can't wait and he won't give it to me until our anniversary in two months time.

So far he's told me it is something you can wear, it smells, it comes in a box, apparently i might be able to trow he box away, it is not a perfume or jewellery. That's all. I know it's not much but it drives me crazy :D Thanks!

  • Do I have to claim for overpaid national insurance or is it automatically returned?

I earned £760 last month so they took £20 for national insurance. That was an exception as I normally earn around £500 per month. I have not even earned half of my personal allowance for last year (2013-2014). Can I get those £20 back? Is it the same principle as the personal allowance where you star paying after certain amount?

PS: If you think £20 is no big deal, it is to a student!

    Thanks

  • Requirements for settlement in the UK for an EU National?

Basically, the ukba and gov websites are rubbish.

I've lived in the uk since i was 14, im 21 now so that will be 8 years in September. I'm an EU national, my family is also here. I want to know:

-length of residence before being able to apply for settlement (indefinite leave to remain)

    -form to use

As I said, i'm an EU national so I don't need a visa. All the information I can find on the above websites relates to visa holders or is not clear enough if there is a difference between the application process for both. I read something about 5 years rule but they don't elaborate.

I'm also a uni student if that makes a difference.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Looking for the name of a toy?

It's a small toy, about a hand's size with bendy legs and arms with magnets on the ends and a colourful hair. It comes with different colour hair:green, orange etc.

I need the name because my sister wants one but I can't find it anywhere.

    Thanks

  • Percentage calculation?

I'm trying to calculate my uni marks but I'm rubbish at percentages.

I need an overall of 70 marks from both years.

I got 58 for this year which is 35% of the final result.

How many marks do I need to get so I have an overall of 70 marks from both years?

  • A series involving an elevator frozen in time and people missing from a hotel party?

All I remember from the series is that it involved an elevator which I think was frozen in time or something connected to time. There was something about midnight as well. And the plot was that the people who were having a party in what I believe was a hotel ball room disappeared and no one knew where they went. So the people from the present were looking for them. I watched this when I was little. Definitely before 2000 so I would say late 90s. Not sure if it could have been older and it was just that I watched it later. That's all I remember and know. Thanks for the help. It's just been bugging me for ages.
