I find it really odd that the water ways in Livingston Parish, LA. closed due to rain that we never got and flood waters. I have lived near these rivers and lakes all my life and can only remember these water ways closed a couple of times ( after hurricane Andrew and really that's it). These are the same water ways that feed into Lake Pontchartrain, where they found oil deposits this morning. I'm thank full that they have the right mind to close Lake Maurepas, Amiet River and the Tickfaw to stop the water from moving to much and pull oily *** water closer inland, I just wish they had enough respect to report whats really going on and not the bull sh*t they want us to think..

I have split custody with my x on our 12 year old son. This arangement started this summer, and my x has completlly ran with it. He has signed him up to play ball at a leauge by his house, knowing we play for a different leauge, my daughter cheers for and I cant get him to practice. He also will not let my son go see my parents over the summer (like he has been doing all his life) for 2 weeks b/c 1 of the weeks is his. He has gone and picked up my sons medicine for ADHD and wont give me any for the time he is with me( I have always sent my son with med's when he visited his dad). my x gets off earlier than me so he thinks he can go pick my son up at the Y when ever he wants and I have to call and hunt for him when i get off. The judge said last time we went to court that if he see's us again he is going to make us have a parenting coach. I;m not the one causing trouble but feel like I'm losing my son bit by bit. Any advice I'm losing my mind and not to mention going broke b/c the *** has enroled him in a school that cost 6,300 a year and I'm susposed to pay 1/2 but never talked to me about it. I cant take it any more

lets say your ex husband is taking you to court for custody of your 12 year old child b/c you are living with your boyfriend. You and your new man have been together for over a year but you are moving in with him soon. Yall have talked of marriage but said it would come in due time when everythings better. would you get married for the sake of your custody hearing and then plan the wedding you want (for show), or would you wait and pray it goes ok in court?

I have custody of my 12 year old son in Baton Rouge, LA. His father is taking me back to court for 50/50 custody. My attourney has said not to worry that he will be laughed out the court room. After trying to come to an agreement with my ex over a new visitation schedule, he would not accept the offer I was giving him. However, he let me know that he will keep taking me back to court until he gets what he wants. I want to know can he keep taking me to court every year like he stated? Is there a time frame that he has to abide by? I dont mind fighting him in court, he has no leg to stand on, but this gets verry expensive.

I love to record music shows such as crossroads and live, unplugged performances of my favorite groups and have many recorded. my problem is that i like the unplugged or version recorded better than the orginal. I have tried many places to find the songs so that i can buy them but its not avalible. does anyone know how to transfer the recorded shows to a mp3 file so that i can listen to it outside of my home!!! if it helps its a cox box

My ex is taking me to court for coustody and child support. I have had coustody for 7 years and he never has paid child support even though he has been ordered to. I have tried everything in my power but the state cant help(thats a whole nother story). His ground forr wanting support is that i work to much and he dont want my boyfriend around my son even though they use to be friends. I hired an attorney at first she was all excited and i was too, but we have gone to court twice and she has done nothing, she says the judge is imposible to work with and that seeing him is like rolling the dice in a craps game. She has several cases each time we have gone to court and has not given me the time of day. she only talks to me right before court and its basically like this " ok this is what his attorney is saying i think its a good idea" even if it means i have to give up my weekends so he can take my son to do stupid stuff. they have taken every weekend since october and has done nothing but play around the house. Yesterday his attorney asked for a meadeator to come in and of course my attorney told me to do it. This man has been in and out of jail for all kinds of things, he cant hold a job, has no transportation other than his parents car's- how can a judge really award this person coustody over me who keeps a job, has been doing fine on my own for 10 years raising a good respectful child and doing my best to give him what he deservied.. I have never kept my ex from seeing my son even though he is over 10thousand behind in child support. why is the attorney that scared of a judge. can a judge be that arogant?

ok so my oh so smart ex wrote a bad check for like 9 thousand or so dollars. He was working after Katrina in new orleans and as a contractor. somebody told him he had a job and to go pick up material at ed price, so the oh so smart f**ker did and when he got back to the job the guy was gone. my oh so smart ex never filed any charges on the guy because the oh so smart ex does not have a contractor license and shouldnt have been doing the work anyway..

Needless to say the ex was picked up last month for the charges or writhing worthless checks and stayed in jail for a couple weeks before getting out on bond.. he went to court yesterday and will go again tomorrow so what i am wondering is how long will this take to settle and will he get any jail time? btw he has a court date today for domestic abuse and another in dec for misamenor possesion of an illegal substance. will this have an effect on the check case.. Iam not being nosy but the oh so smart is trying to take me back to court for custody of my son and i find it rather funny this is all happening 2 weeks before we go to court.

I heard a song on crossroads with sara evans and maroon 5. it was a cover song from a old stevie nicks song "leather and lace". their rendition is amazin. my man and I listened to it at least 5 times and decided this is going to be our first dance when we get married. ever since Gustav at least once a week I will see a flea or two in my house. I have 2 cats, they are strickly inside animals and never had fleas before, I keep up with there med's and bath them all the time. well last night the kids and I came home and my son was playing in his room when he cried out, I ran in there he had 5 or 6 fleas on his legs and shoes. I know they were not there that morning b/c he was playing before school in the same spot infront of his ps2. I aslo had a few jump on me while sitting on the couch. my cats are treated and do they have to be removed to bomb my house? where are they comming from, my cats never go outside? can the weather have something to do with this?

I make about 29,000 a year he makes 40,000. I want to take him back for child support but not sure how it works when the custody is split week by week. Is it even worth my time to do so.
