  • How long does Hydrogen Peroxide take to turn into Water?

If I go out to the store and purchase a regular 425mL bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) @ 3% solution, pour the H2O2 into a bowl, and then leave the bowl out in sunlight on a 24°C day.

How long will it take the Hydrogen Peroxide to turn into Water?

(Note: Explanations are preferred. Don't just give me a random time, please)

  • Anyone else have this issue?

When I log into Y! Answer some weird things happen with my account.

I'll be greeted with, quote, "Hello ?". I don't know why Y! Answer thinks my name is "?" but it does. Also, My avatar sometimes shows up as nothing more then a gray box.

I tried going into the "Edit Profile" settings and resetting everything but it didn't fix the problem. It wasn't that big a deal at first, but now it has become a real nuisance. Idea on how to fix this problem?

  • Is this conversion correct?

Original Problem: A particle moving at 1.5 m/s must cover a distance of 15091 m. How much time will it take to travel this distance? (Answers must be written in hours and minutes)

    My solution: (15091 / 1.5) = 10060.667 seconds

    (10060.667 / 60) = 167.67 minutes

    (167.67 / 60) = 2.79 Hours

Here's the tricky part. I need to convert .79 into minutes. I knew 0.50 = 30 minutes. So I setup a proportion as the following:

    (0.50 / 30) = (0.79 / x)

    x = 47.4

So, My final answer should be 2 Hours and 47 Minutes, correct?

  • What would you do in the following circumstance?

Scenario: You come across a group of adolescents in a secluded area who are beating up a defenseless woman. You immediately dial for the authorities and give them any relevant information about the scene.

Between the time of the call and the arrival of the police are the following choices:

If you attempt to scare off the attackers, they will likely flee the scene and evade custody before the police arrive, but at least the victim will be alive, hopefully.

If you attempt to fight off the attackers, there is a chance you will be charged with assault and battery. You risk injury to yourself, and there is no guarantee you can fight them all off her.

If you do nothing, the defenseless woman will probably die.

    What would you do?

  • What is wrong with this syllogism?

    Some wigs are warks.

    Some warks are figs.

    All figs are glorbs.

Therefore, some wigs that are warks are also glorbs.

(Apparently there is an error somewhere in there, but I can't find it. Can you?)
