  • Would a fan animation likely be sued for copyright infringement?

So here's the thing - I'm currently aware that all fanworks are technically copyright infringement, but that they also don't tend to get into any legal trouble because a) they mostly aren't sold for profit, b) they help expand the fanbase and get others to watch a show/buy a book/etc., and c) they're just generally harmless and a way to enjoy the work at hand. But I also know that, of course, you can't create something too big (or sell it), especially if the author is very picky about these kinds of things.

I'm currently learning animation, and I thought working with something I like would be a fun way to practice. Plus, I wouldn't have to create a new model everytime I wanted to practice something. So if I either created a fan animation or started an askblog where the replies are animated, would that likely be too big of a thing? Or would it just group in with other types of fanart?

  • Is it possible to be a good illustrator and animator?

I'm currently 18, and I've been studying anatomy, composition, values etc. for a couple of years. I'm going to apply to an animaton degree, but my love for illustration remains (especially more realistic paintings like jenzee's @ deviantart). I was wondering if it was possible to be good at both since they require similar knowledge?

  • Help getting into Fire Emblem? What shoudl I start with, are there any Let's Play versions that are good, etc.?

So I wanted to get into Fire Emblem but I gave away my Wii and my DS is so old I don't think it'll even turn on. Plus, I really can't get my hands on a good copy where I live.

I wanted to know the story and such, since I've always liked the design of the characters. Should I do a Let's Play of Awakening? I hear it's not a very good summary of the past stories, but if not Awakening, I'm not sure what to start with.

  • I need to clean my Mac before selling it?

So I got a new computer for college and I've already got a few offers on my old computer (it's a Macbook Air). I wanted to clean out the files and temporary files and anything that might slow it down for the next person, but I also wanted to leave in some programs, like Microsoft Word and UnRar and whatnot. I was wondering what would be the most efficient way to delete all my personal files and any unnecessary programs and temp files?

  • Information about breaking your hand to make it stronger?

I heard that it's possible to make your bones stronger in your hand by breaking them, but I don't know how much stronger they can get and I need to make sure that I'm not giving my character unrealistic strength in his right punch (it's for writing, just...yeah). My Google searches only render me information about breaking your hands to get out of cuffs, so does anyone know if this is true and where I can know more about this?
