Photoshop CS5e - How do you apply a filter to JUST a selection?
I have made a selection using the Pen tool, and have already made 2 layers from this selection (Channel Mix & Exposure). I also wish to add a filter to this selection. However, when I have either of these 2 layers left-clicked (in the Layer menu), the entire Filter drop-down menu is grayed out, and I cannot apply a filter to my selection. It seems the only way to apply a filter at all is to apply it to the entire image, which is not what I intend to do.
I already know there isn't an issue concerning the image type, or its characteristics (16-bit, etc.) because as I've said, I'm able to filter the entire image.
