I am an employee at the Wildlife Discovery Center in N. Illinois, where I care for a wide variety of exotic and local reptiles. I also do educational presentations for children and adults. I have extensive knowledge and experience in the handling and care of most types of reptiles. I'm working towards an associates degree in zoology and have owned reptiles my entire life. I do field work with local reptiles and amphibians in my county, usually eastern garter snakes and smooth green snakes, as well as chorus frogs and northern leopard frogs. I've also owned hamsters, rats, hermit crabs, invertebrates, and other exotic pets. I am currently working on a breeding program for Gerrhosaurus major and G. major bottegoi [Sudan plated lizards]. I have bred eastern and plains garter snakes in the past. You don't know me personally, so don't judge my experience with animals or my knowledge of reptiles and their care.
