Hello, fellow Hockey fans. I want to play a game.

1) For years, there has been uncertainty with the Phoenix Coyotes, and now they are going to be staying for a while. Good or bad?

Me: good. That team needs stability, and as an Oilers fan, I can't criticize the NHL for doing every thing in their power to keep a team in Phoenix.

2) The NHL is going to be expanding soon. Which two cities do you think are front runners for new expansion (and therefore, inflated expansion fees)?

Me: Seattle and Houston

3) What moves made by your favorite team this offseason do you consider a) their best move and b) their worst move?

Me: best move is Ference. The Oilers are desperate for leadership and defense. He provides both. Worst: Trading Horcoff. The Oilers now have no center depth.

BQ*: I am considering leaving from the great country of Canada and moving to Houston. Does anyone have any advice/tips/etc. that I should know? Thanks!

So far this year, the Oilers have had to deal with injuries to Hemsky, Horcoff, Whitney, Eberle, Peckham, Hall, and rumor has it Gagner got a but of a tweak last game.

Finally, the reg. season is about to start, and we can get our hockey fix. Here are some generic hockey questions I came up with in my coffee/energy pills/caffeine induced state:

4) This one is for me. I, as some of you from back in the day know, am an Oil fan, How do you expect my team to do(I predict another lottery pick)

BQ*: I may be going to the Oilers opener on Thursday. How should I dress myself up? I was thinking full on body paint, man junk and all.

BQ2*: I had the luxury of spending my weekend working on all my essays and crap that are due today that I kept putting off. How did you fare in your weekend?

Being an Oilers fan, I have to put up with a lot of crap from ignorant fans who think that they know everything and feel the need to bash my team.. So that got me thinking, what is the most annoying misconception about your team that irritates you?

PBQ: What is a good job for someone who is in university? I need a descent job, but one that gives me the time to maintain the 3.5 GPA I need to stay in my program.

Who am I?

I have played for 2 teams and have 6 Stanley Cups

I was a first round pick

I currently work for the team I won a majority of my cups with.

My teams only missed the playoffs once in my career,

(this may give it away) in one postseason, a never missed a game, despite playing with a broken wrist while wearing a full arm cast, as well as broken ribs

and I hold team records for the team that drafted me

I have an award named after me

Oh ya, and I am not in the HHOF, and my jersey was not retired by my teams. Does that sound fair?

Does the argument "great players aren't selfish" hold true. Could you not argue that the most selfish players are the greatest.

Wayne Gretzky was the greatest player to play in the NHL, and some consider him one of the most selfish players. Some of his quote include (paraphrased) "this is my puck, go get your own," "When I have the puck, I decide who gets it and when." Not really the words of a "selfless" player.

I was hoping this day would never come, but it has. That time between free agency and training camp where the NHL ceases to exist.

there is no emotion, things get taken out of context. If the other person is busy, you don't know and it takes a long time for them to answer, you think they are ignoring you. Messages don't get sent so you get all panicky. the list goes on.
