  • Green's function (quantum)?

    I'm desperate. Does anyone know how to calculate a Green's function for a single impurity orbital? The problem hamiltonian consists of a free part for conduction electrons, free part for one impurity orbital and interaction between impurity state and free-electron state. The problem is very simple, with constant interaction energy. I've made all the contractions, just have no idea how to proceed with cross-terms between impurity and conduction electrons. I need advice on this or a link to a good book describing the effect. Please?

  • 1/(Z+i*Zr) -> exp(-i*psi(Z))?

    How to convert from 1/(Z+i*Zr) to exp(-i*psi(Z)), where psi(Z)=arctan(Z/Zr), Zr - constant?
