My child support payments were suppose to start over a month ago through a court order. I haven't received any as of yet and wanted to know how long does it take for the payments to disburse. My childs father called me and said that the money was taken from his paycheck a while ago, but I haven't received a payment yet. And whenever I call down there they make you wait for over an hour and still wont know anything. So I was wondering if anyone knew how it works.

I filed for child support almost 8 months ago. I recently went to the initial child support hearing almost a month ago, which my ex did not show up for. The hearing had said that my ex was served and answered that he was the father. They calculated an amount for child support and also ordered him to pay back child support plus health insurance. They didn't really specify when the order would take effect. Therefore I wanted to know how long does it takes to start receiving child support payments after you have attended a hearing?

I am currently residing in Ohio with my six month old son. His father currently lives in FL. His father told me that he is filing for full custody. I don't believe he would be able to get full custody of him since I have been the primary caregiver since our son was born and he has no relationship with him. I believe that he is filing for custody because he was recently served with child support papers, which we have a hearing for in two weeks. I know that he will be granted visitation or partial custody, but would like to know what type of visitation would be granted since we live in two different states? And would this be granted at our child support hearing?

I have a child support hearing in a month. The hearing is going to be a telephone hearing because we live in different states. I have never gone to a hearing for child support before and just want to know what I should expect from the hearing. We both know he is the father, but I feel he is going to contest the child support and lie about how much support that he gave me. I have never received anything but a few clothes from him and two packs of diapers. Ultimately I want to know if I should prepare somehow for the hearing?

I feel that my son's father will try to make me come back to fl when he finds out that Im leaving.I spoke to a lawyer through a free consultation and he informed me that he didn't have any legal rights right now because he is not on the birth certificate and there isn't a court order. This is the hardest decision that I have had to make. I want my son to be close with his father, but he doesn't provide any kind of support and without a job here I cant afford to stay here. Do you think it would be ok for me to leave fl? If anyone has any experience dealing with this issue please help!

I currently live in Fl. I have a 2 month old and the father and I are not together.I was layed off my job before my baby was born and I have just started a part time job. However I was offered a full time teaching job in North Carolina.The father of my child has recently filed for joint custody and doesnt want me to take the job,because he wouldnt see his son as much. I feel the job would be the best thing for my baby and I, because I would be able to provide a better life for us. the father has not done anything for my baby since he was born and wasnt at the hospital when he was born.Im not trying to keep him away from his son and said I would have no problem paying for all the visitations. Would I have to stay in fl and turn down the job because he has joint custody?

My father proposed that after I have the baby I could move back to Ohio and help run his insurance business he has there. It would provide a good income for the baby and I. I wouldn't have to worry about daycare, because I have family there that could watch the baby when I am working. I feel that since I would be moving after I have the baby that the father would try to fight me on this and try to stop me from going. However he has already tried to threaten me that he wants to file for joint custody and the baby isn't even here yet. So that worries me. Will he be able to stop me from leaving to ohio?

I am currently pregnant and Im due in October. So would that commission be counted in the child support amount?

My ex boyfriend and I had been together for 6 years on and off. We were living together and things started getting really rough. So he decided to move out. I know he/she will still have a mother and a father who love them. However I think its important for children to grow up with both a mother and a father together.

I am currently a substitute teacher. I was working at a middle school today. The teacher has requested that I work for her today and tomorrow. The stay was going rather smoothly until I got to the end of fifth period. One of the male students had asked me " when was I gonna let him smash" which is slang for when are you going to let me have sex with you. I told the student that his actions were inappropriate. At that time the bell had rang so they all just ran out to lunch. So I contacted the Dean of students and reported the incident. They told me to write a statement so I did. The comments made me very uncomfortable. I have to return there tomorrow and I feel like they wont do much. Is there anything else I can do?

My period is not due for a few days, and usually is pretty heavy when it starts. So I know didn'tnt start early. I am kind of nervous for the interview, because I do not know what to expect. I received an email from them that said the interview would last for 4 hours. I just want to hear from those who have been through the interview process with Kelly Services. I would like to know what type of questions they ask also. Please Help!
