  • What actors/actresses do you admire for having enormous range?

And does it ever annoy you that many A-listers seem to lack a decent amount of range, or seem to avoid broadening their range?

  • 2 toddlers, a week of poop soup...?

My two toddlers, ages 1 and 2, have both had diarrhea with undigested food in it for a week. No fever, or other suspicious symptoms. They have acid burn on their bottoms, which I am treating, and are kind of tired, though. I've had them on a gluten free and mostly dairy free (all but butter and cheese) diet for the last 6 months and supplemented them with probiotics and vitamins to make sure they were getting good nutrition. I've read that this diet can cause diarrhea in some, but they are just now having issues, so I'm not sure this is the problem. Could a virus or bacterial infection happen with no other symptoms except diarrhea? Could they both be teething at the same time? Am I feeding them too much fiber? Could they both have an allergy to gluten free foods? I don't get how this is happening to them at the same time unless it's an infectious illness or something they're allergic to. Any ideas on what might be wrong or how to handle this? So far, I've cut down on their fiber, sugar, red meat, cut out the supplements in case these were bothering them, and cut out several other commonly suspect foods. I've increased their water, and starchy food intake. They got a clean bill of health from the pediatrician 3 weeks ago.

  • Why is my baby "dipping" his pacifier?

My baby does this little move before he sticks his pacifier (and sometimes teething biscuit) into his mouth pretty frequently. It seriously looks like a person dipping a piece of handheld food into dip or condiments. It makes me laugh because it seems like such a grown up thing to do for 7 month old who's still fairly new to solid food. What is that? Does your baby do this? Is it learned from watching the parents, or is it instinctual?

  • Dracaena Warneckii root issues?

I recently rescued my dracaena warneckii from overwatering (the leaves turned brown and wilty) resulting from the use of a commecial moisture control soil. I took it out of the pot, gave it a hair cut, and loosened all the soil from the roots. I was suprised to find the roots were pretty weak looking. I had a couple short thick roots, but all the rest were long, thin, branchy, and hair-like. There were alot of them! Would removing these weaker, thinner roots help? Are there any chemicals that might strengthen them? Assuming my plant doesn't die from shock, any advice to help the roots would be appreciated.

  • Need legal advice preferably from a family lawyer.?

Okay, here's the deal. My mom has legal guardianship of my son who is also the son of my ex husband. We are not legally divorced yet. But we gave her guardianship until one or the other of us could get into a stable living situation. The biggest problem is the lawyer mom used for the process drew up papers that made us out to sound really bad (alcohol and drug related stuff and mental illness), worse than things actually are. We felt pressured to sign them on the premise that they were temporary because we felt he needed a good place to stay until we were ready and knew that mom could provide health insurance for him. Things are getting better for us individually (we are getting more stable), but my mom seems to be on a power trip about the whole situation. When I went back over the papers, they say nothing about temporary on them and I only signed them thinking that they were. She is trying to keep my ex from seeing our son. And it seems like she won't give up her guardianship to either of us no matter what. Can she do this? Is there something that we can do to stop this?

  • Why do people automatically assume that married people are more responsible than unmarried ones?

This is something I don't understand. It seems people think that people who are married automatically will be better parents to their children. Why is this? I see in the news all the time that married people abuse, neglect, or kill their children. And I also hear all the time that married people cheat or otherwise neglect their relationships. And there are mountains of self-help books about how to save your marriage and a whole industry devoted to couples therapy. So, if there is all this evidence showing that marriage doesn't make you a better person, why is it just assumed that this is the best way to live and have a family?

  • Advice on raising goats? Feed and grazing?

I've always wanted to raise milk goats, probably no more than 20. I have seen all sorts of websites about the process, but I feel they are lacking in the area of feeding. If I were to plant a specific field for them to graze in, what are the best plant combinations for optimal health and milk production? And they've been listing legumes as good foraging, but when I think of legumes, I think beans. Is this wrong? Also, I read that some people supplement their regular feeds with ground flax seed, but that the flax plant itself can be poisonous to the goats? Anybody know anything about this?

  • Am I overreacting? My BF tries to go out almost everyday.?

My boyfriend and I have been together almost three years. We live together and have a 6 month old. I also just found out I'm having another baby. My boyfriend works and I stay home with the little one. But I kinda hoped he'd try to give up his childish ways for fatherhood. It seems almost like he finds any excuse to ditch me and the kid while he goes out and drinks, smokes weed, and goes longboarding or biking after work and on his days off. He always asks me if it's okay, but if I say no, he whines or gets mad at me and tries to pick a fight so I'll tell him to get lost. Maybe this is just how I'm perceiving it, but it really hurts my feelings. I respect his right to a social life, but I don't really approve of his activities. I also don't appreciate how he doesn't give me proper warning so I can make plans of my own. He says he wants to get married but I don't feel he's husband material, and it upsets him when I say so. Am I expecting too much of him, or is he being unreasonable?
