I love animals! I answer pet questions! ~x~x~x~x~x~ How did I get my username, you ask? Well, it's simple, and you can do it too. My initials of my first and last name are BP So, I had to choose an adjective that starts with B, and then a noun starting with P. I could have been "Blue-ish Pizza" or "Big Pie" but I liked "BouncyPaw" being true to my love of animals. So, what are your initials? If your name is John Smith, JS, you could be Jiggly (adjective) Smores (noun). Remember, be unique! I did this with some friends back when I was in elementary school, and it became a great little screen name that nobody EVER had.   • I have a dillema in my chorus...can I get some help?

    I joined my school chorus this year for my extracurricular activity. I like to sing. Unfortunately, I don't sing so well. There is a girl that has the same part as I do in a song, and is very overpowering and intimidating when singing. I almost don't like how she sings it's so loud. I feel very weak and unsure when in chorus, but I don't want to change to band or anything. Any ideas on how to deal with the overpower?

  • Whats Your Favorite Pet Story?

    I had a bad day...and need some cheering up...whats the funniest/most memorable thing your pet has done? Do you have a "Shelter Story"? Is there anyway the shelter changed your life for the better?

    Mine is (please don't ridicule):

    It all started when I was about three. I was face-to-muzzle with our cousin's golden retriever. Baily, the dog, nudged people when she wanted attention. So when she nudged me, I practically flew across the room!

    Since that moment (up until I was about six) I was afraid of dogs, just from that one day.

    So, when they brought out one of the dogs at Humane Society camp, I was freaked out. He WAS a sweet dog, named Truman, who was adopted from that very shelter, and was now a staff member's dog.

    They told us to take Tru's leash, and take a lap around the room. I put my hand in the loop and stuttered "Let's go, Truman." As we walked around the room, he watched me watch him. I realized that he was just walking along with me, nothing was happening, and I had pretty good control over him. I was seeing the true sweetness of this dog. At the end, I dropped the leash and gave him a little pet.

    And so, to this day, I LOVE dogs. After that, I started to recover and was "cured" by about age 7.

    So, that is how the shelter changed my life for the better. I donate to that shelter all the time. THANK YOU SD HUMANE SOCIETY CAMP!!!
