  • Which would be a better RAM configuration?

    I am currently changing the RAM on a computer I have just salvaged. The current onboard ram is 256MB, with a speed of 400mhz. (just one piece). The motherboard itself has two slots for the RAM.

    I have these spares: 1 512MB, 2 256MB, both of speed 133mhz. now, would it be wise to put 1 512MB and 1 256MB (2 slots only) in, at a decreased speedof 133mhz, (which is about 3 times slower), or keep the 256MB 400mhz one (which is about 3 times faster, but also 3 times less RAM)? Please help. Thanks!
