What to do with leaky wellies!?
OK, a bit of a mad one this but I am looking for ideas for an ebook I am writing, I get through loads of wellies and am always finding new uses for them (recycle what you can) and just wondered what other ideas you guys had.
Some of my favorites are....
1. If the sole is good cut them down to make clog style gardening shoes
2. Plant herbs or flowers in them (kids wellies are ideal for this)
3. Use as a whip store
4. Fill the foot part with concrete to weight it and use to hold flags for bending races
5. Fill completely with concrete and use as a door stop
When I put the book together I will add pictures of all my recycled wellies showing their new purpose complete with a 'how to' for every idea, if you come up with a good idea and want your name published in alongside your idea let me know via email how you would like your name to appear, also, if you have a photo of your idea that I can publish in the book then please let me know and I will contact you regarding this too. Anyone contributing to the book will get a free copy when it's complete.
Thanks for your help, I have lots of wellies waiting to be experimented with, all ideas will be tried and tested before publication!

12 AnswersHorses1 decade agoUK Guide Horses for the Blind, what do you think?
I breed mini, midi and standard Shetlands and have been training horses all my life, I recently heard abouth the US Guide Horses Foundation and would love to see a similar thing in the UK, I would also love to take on the challenge of breeding a mini for this purpose and training it myself!
If successful I would like to then go on to breed and train more horses for this purpose.
Firstly, what is the general opinion on guide horses? I personally think it is a great idea, Secondly, any volunteers to try out the first guide horse? Those with a genuine need only and I will be launching a proper application process for this when the time comes that will require the relevant medical back up!
