When camping is it dangerous to stay in your tent during a lighting storm?
I know lighting is very dangerous while backpacking/camping, but in all the stuff i have read they never mention if it is safer in your tent or out of it. Should you leave your tent for the more conventional "safe" areas?

Anybody got any terrible horror stories or any advice on staying safe?
I am prepared for it, so far as survival skills, navigation skills, what to pack, what to eat, etc. , but i am still a little weary of going it alone although i know i would enjoy it more than going with others.
