  • golden retriever allergic reaction?

i have a 1.5 yr old male golden retriever. (i also have a 3 y/o female) i gave them both flea preventative today, advantage multi, and while she seems to be fine, his face is swollen, he seems to be really itchy, and has small lumps (pea sized) all over the top half of his body (face, neck, shoulders). my female is fine. the only thing i did differently between the two of them, the male has wipes for his feet, for an unrelated skin issue in between his toes. so i am thinking he is probably allergic to one of the two things. (both of which i have used on him before with no side effects) i have given him a bath in cool water, flushed his eyes out, and he is still lumpy, swollen, and itchy. i tried to give him benadryl, and it seems to have had no effect. what else can i do for him?? i cant call the vet for seven more hours!

  • mental / medical issue with my 8 year old? ?

hi! i have an eight year old son, and he seems to be off lately... he cries and gets frustrated very easily (both at home in family settings, and while playing with friends - if something doesn't go according to his plan, he comes in crying), forgets things often, and is totally mesmerized by the television. i cant even talk to him while the tv is on, because he cant seem to pay attention to anything but the tv, even after i have yelled at him to pay attention. he will go to look for something, after having been told exactly where it is, and not be able to find it... he forgets conversations minutes after they happen, repeats himself constantly, and is starting to get an attitude... he wants to argue about everything. hes usually a well behaved, well adjusted, and perfectly normal kid... is this a phase, testing boundaries, or is there something to be worried about? he seems to be intentionally getting under my skin lately as well. i have tried talking to him to see if something has changed recently in his world (at school. with friends) and according to him (and his teachers) he seems perfectly fine at school.

any advise you have would be greatly appreciated!!
