So I'm having a bit of a dillema with my 2008 Mazdaspeed3. The front left wheel is making a squeaking, whirring noise with every revolution. This does not go away with braking. I jacked the car up today and there is no play horizontally or vertically in the wheel indicating a bad tie rod end or wheel bearing. The car has 11,600 miles on it. No loss of any sort of performance at all. Just that damn squeak coming from god knows where! I recently put new rims on the car and had them torqued down to the correct specs with the stock lugnuts first (my aftermarket 'tuner' lugnuts were still in the mail somewhere). The problem arose after 250 miles of driving like that. Then I swapped the lugnuts for the tuner style ones and had those torqued down as well. The problem went away for a while and now, after about 150 miles, the sound is back. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Thank you so much for your time.
