Help adjusting a Premier Mounts TV mount?
I have a Premier Mounts AM2-B TV mount. Here it is.

The joints on the swing-out arm can be adjusted by removing the plastic cap on the joint (labelled "Adjustable Tension" on the diagram). I can't get the end cap off. The caps are so flush with the metalwork that I can't get a fingernail underneath. I've tried using a blunt knife, but I've actually damaged the plastic with no sense of movement from it. These caps are not coming off, and I feel like I'm missing something. The manual simply says "Remove end caps".
Can anyone help with this?
2 AnswersHome Theater1 decade agoSource for cheap gray card in the UK?
I've been looking into getting a gray card for whitebalance. I need something very small, or I know I'll never have it when I need it.
I've been looking at this, it's perfect.

It's the right size, the right colours, and the right shape. But it's in the US. Does anyone know where I can get something like this in the UK?
All the fold-up 30cm cloth things are too big. The X-rite passport is perfect, if a little big. But it's way too expensive.
2 AnswersPhotography1 decade agoWhich gaming laptop should I buy?
I'm looking for a gaming machine. I'm not a FPS player. I'm looking for things like Eve Online, GRID and World of Warcraft.
I do not want a desktop, I need to be able to move around with it.
I have around £600 to spend.
I'm currently looking at the Acer 6530G, but I can't help but think that I can get a better deal from a laptop without a Blu-ray drive in it. I really don't need to pay extra for that drive. The Acer is £100 under budget and has a Radeon 3650 512Mb onboard graphics card. The graphics card in this laptop is about the minimum I'd consider.
Anyone else have a suggestion for a better laptop, or should I go for this one? I'm UK based, in case you hadn't guessed ;)
4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade ago70-200mm ƒ2.8 - Sigma or Canon?
I'm starting to pick up a bit with my portraits, and I'm looking to invest in some new glass. Something for portraiture, and possibly music photography. I have a slower, low quality equivalent version of this lens but I don't use it much because it's too slow and suffers from CA quite a lot.
I took this picture with a Canon 50mm ƒ1.8, it's probably a good representation of where I am now, skill wise.

Is there much difference between the Sigma and Canon 70-200? It looks like it's just what I need, and I have seen some excellent photos from the Canon version. Would I regret the Sigma?
