I have to write about one of my extracurricular activities and I was wondering if this sounds good?

Ever since I was little and from my earliest memory that I have, I have been singing and playing music. To me music is that one thing in the world that speaks closer to the heart than a million elaborate words. There is truly no other feeling like picking up an instrument and playing or sitting down by the piano and belting out a song.

Since the 6th grade I have been involved in the music program at school and it has been one of the most revolutionary things in my life. One of the biggest lessons that I will take away from this experience is that no matter what happens in life and how low you may feel, you can spring back up and outperform yourself beyond what you thought was possible. I have learned that there is nothing that is impossible in this world through music.

When performing, music gives me that awesome feeling like a bird soaring above the skyline, taking in the beauty and emotion of everything. I love memorizing music and having that mental exhaustion after a long rehearsal that is satisfied by a great performance. It is true what Plato said “[Music] gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything”. To me music is not what I do – singing songs anywhere I go or playing an instrument in front of people at concerts- instead it is who I am: a persevering and fearless person that knows that no matter what happens in life, I can be resilient in the most arduous and challenging times.

I need someone with real knowledge of french and not google translate to tell me how to say "Thank you for writing a letter for me, I greatly appreciate it".

So tonight i was at my school's hypnotist show and i was supposed to get hypnotized but it didn't work. Is there anything that could be done to make it easier for me next time? I was just wondering.

At my mom's job she has been told that she is getting fired multiple of times. Her boss and anyone about her boss would send her home and tell her that they don't need her. Then they would tell her to come back a few days later for a final solution and they would tell her to stay. And then a few days later they would tell her that she's fired and she needs to pack her stuff and go home. This has been going on for the last 2 months and I just want to know if it is legal for an employer to do so.

We are located near Boston and we would have to take a plane to go to Orlando. It's around 120 people, and instruments. How much would that cost per person if anyone has ever went on a school trip to Disney? Also we need hotel, park tickets, and etc.

Okay so this is basically what happened. My three best friends and I have birthdays at around the same time, like a couple weeks apart over a 2 month period. For my First best friends birthday I got her a gift card, a regular card, and bought her a couple of little things that she liked, all in all that cost me around $30. My second best friend, I got him a couple of books because he loves to read and i paid for us to go to the movies and a card, that cost me $30. My third friend, I got her movie tickets and i bought her a gift card and I planned a day out for us to hang out with each other.

When my birthday came around, which is in the middle of all of their birthdays, i got nothing except a $10 gift card from one friend. My other two best friends didn't even say happy birthday to me when i saw them in school, all i got was a "happy birthday" on facebook.

I am usually not a materialistic person at all, i love to give presents because i love to let my friends know i care about them and take time to think about them. I just feel really bad because I know they had money cause one of my friends got $100 from their dad as spending money and he didn't give me a present, the other one told me that she still has to go shopping for me but she never got me a present but a week after my birthday she got my other best friend a present but i didn't receive anything. This has happened two years in a row.

Should I be mad? And should I get them presents when our birthdays come around next time? Do you think they had a reasonable reason to not buy me anything? I appreciate everyone's thoughts cause I don't know why this topic is bothering me but it is and i need help to sort it out cause nothing makes sense in my mind right now.

I am a sophomore in High School. I don't do any sports after school, but I do go to the gym for about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week and i have been doing that for the last 6 months. I was wondering if me going to the gym would make up for not doing any after school sports and if it can how can i notify the colleges of it.

I ate fast food for the first time since november. I used to eat it maybe like once a week but I cut down on it and yesterday was my first time eating it since then. Now I have been throwing up all night. What can I do to make myself feel better and stop the vomiting? Im pretty sure this is because of fast food because after I ate it I started progressively feeling more and more sick.

So, I am going into college soon. I was looking at jobs that I wanted to do when I graduate college and my favorite one was Finance, and to be more precise Investment Banking. Yes, I know that Investment Banking is tough and everything, and I was just wondering, are there any jobs in and around that field that you don't have to work 100+ hours a week? Even if I do go into investment banking, what positions are better?
