What is the pay rate for court appointed criminal lawyers in florida?
Not what you pay a court appointed attorney - obviously it's nothing. I do court appointed work and am thinking of moving to florida and want to know that the state pays for court appointments.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoWhich deal is better for a $20,000 car purchase, 2.19% fixed for 60 months or 3.14% and $1,000 rebate?
Scion offers a $1,000 military rebate but I have to finance with Toyota Financing. My insurance company USAA has offered me the 2.19% loan but I can't get the rebate that way. And yes, I am completely Math-Stupid.

What do I need for a small law firm with 3 computers?
I am starting my own law firm this Spring after getting out of the Marines. I would like to know what all I need to equip it with computers. I want 3 computers that can handle email, word processing, accounting software, and legal research. I know I need to purchase the computers, a scanner, and a printer/copier (obviously). What do I need to connect them so I have intraoffice email, email to the outside world, and the ability to create, store, and print documents that can be accessed by all 3 computers? And what is the best way to back up the documents in case the building burns down?

1 AnswerDesktops9 years agoAny idea why my emerald green arborvitae is turning brown?
I have 6 trees planted in a row. They are about 3 years old. Recently one is turning brown. It started turning brown at the edges and is working it's way in. It's not like when they turn brown from lack of watering in the first year or so. It's a different kind of brown. Any ideas?
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape10 years agoAny advantage for law firm buying a vehicle?
For a solo practice firm: I need a new car to get to work from home and to use for work. Is there any advantage to having the firm buy the car instead of buying it personally?

Been practicing for about 10 years now. Never used a MAC before. Going to start my own firm and I'm considering buying Apple computers. Any suggestions or advice on which way to go and about software would be greatly appreciated. There will be two lawyers, one receptionist, 1-2 paralegals. Practice will be injury, family, and court appointments.

7 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoCan you go above 365 retirement points on active duty by doing corresp courses?
I'm in the reserve and earn a lot of extra retirement points by doing corresp courses. I know 130 is the max for reservists. However, I'm mob'ing soon and will be on active duty for a year. I'm not clear on whether I can get more than 365 retirement points by doing corresp courses or will I be capped at 365 pts.?
1 AnswerMilitary1 decade agoWhat's going on with my dog's eyes that are now pointing outward and upward?
He's a 14 year old Jack Russell.
2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoMy 14yrold Jack Russell barks at 4am every morning. What can I do?
For 13 3/4 years he's slept in a kennel in the laundry room. Not the best room in the house but pretty comfortable for a dog. It's climate controlled. He started barking at 6am so I let him sleep in the house, in the basement, on a leather couch. That was about 2 months ago. Now he gets up and barks at 4 am and is driving my wife crazy. She has to get up because the dog will wake up the kids if she doesn't. I don't hear him (wink!). The dog is 14 years old so he can't really exercise that much. He pretty much sleeps off and on all day. I watch tv in the evening in the room that he sleeps in. He barks at 4 no matter what time I turn off the lights and leave the room for him to sleep through the night. Suggestions?
