I'm someone who is very down to earth and easy to get along with. But I do have a structured personality. This is how we attempt to improve day to day. I am married and have 3 wonderful daughters. My wife and I met later in life and she means the world to me. I am truely blessed to have a wife that loves me so very much and a family worth coming home to every day.   • Carter fuel pump and sending unit?

    I will be installing a fuel pump and sending unit in the gas tank of a '91 Dodge Ramcharger.

    I want it to be dependable and last a long time. Which would be better ? Delphi, Carter, Airtex or Dorman ? Thank-you

    I recently attained a '68 Dodge Dart from a friend of mine. It's running a standard 440 that I would like to add a few things to. I will be raising the duration on the new cam a little and adding a 2-4 bbl set-up. My question is: Would it be better to stick with mechanical secondaries or vacuum secondaries ?

  • efficiency of splitfire spark plugs?

    I had a '79 Dodge Magnum running a 360. I had tried changing plugs to the splitfire brand and noticed a positive difference in perfomance. I have read many different reviews that have said they are just another spark plug. Any opinions on this particular plug ?

  • shifting quickness of Turbo action?

    At one time I owned a Plymouth Roadrunner. I had installed a Turbo Action Manual Valve Body in the transmission. (727 Auto.) I was able to get 2nd gear rubber quite easily. That valve body helped increase the quickness of shifting with all of the shift overlap eliminated. I have heard so many people tell me that a manual 4-speed can shift faster. I just don't see how. What do you think ?

    A friend of mine has a '57 Dodge Coronet stationwagon with a push button auto trans.(325 poly head motor) He also has a '69 Monaco with the hi-po 383 in it. I told him that this 383 should bolt right up,but wasn't exactly sure. Could anybody help out?

    The standard street HEMI came with10.25 compression and was rated at 425 HP. I talked to an owner of Roadrunner which had the 12.5 to 1 HEMI. What is the HP difference between the two ?

  • Flathead V8 problems ?

    A friend of mine just aquired a 1952 Ford Customline with a flathead V8. The engine has been sitting since 1990 and is siezed. I'm attempting to assist him in trying to free the engine to get it turning again. We have tried prying on the flywheel different ways with no success. The cylinders have been soaked with transmission fluid already. Any ideas about getting it loose ?

    The emissions stadardards of 1972 brought the overall listed horsepower ratings way down from the 1970 listings. A 440 Magnum was advertised as 375 HP, The 1972 Dodge Polara police cruiser I owned with the same 440 was listed as 280 HP. How do the HP ratings of todays HEMI's compare to the HP ratings of the 426 HEMI's of the late 60's and early 70's ? Does the multiplication factor of .81 still apply to today's figures ?

    I would like to increase the gas mileage on 2003 Dodge Durango.(4.7) Would the complete removal of the catalytic converter send a poor signal to the computer to detract from the performance? Or would it be better to have high-flow cat installed? Magnaflow does have one available.

    I would like to get into tractor pulling. The tractor of choice is an Allis Chalmers D17. From what I've studied, The compression ratio on this tractor is rather low with only 56 HP. How much could the head be milled to raise the compression? I would like to gain about 10-15 HP. Thank-you

    I have a 2003 Dodge Durango.(4.7 V8) I've replaced the standard muffler with a free flowing Magnaflow. How much of an increse in mileage can I expect with the addition of a High Flow Cat. and a Tornado Fuel Saving device? Vehicle runs very well.

  • 2000 Jeep Cherokee won't start?

    The englne turns over fine. There is no ignition at all. Any ideas on which sensor would go out very suddenly like that. I do know that if a MAP sensor is bad. A diagnostic meter will not even read. 'thought about the fuel pump or the crank position sensor. What do you think?

  • Durability of a V10 Dodge engine?

    I've always had an interest in the V10 engine made by Dodge. I have never owned one. While at a local salvage yard, I made some inquiries about a few V10's that had been taken out of crashed trucks. The guy had told me that durability level is not that high. If one of these engine lasts 100,000 miles,consider yourself lucky. I would like some opinions from some V10 owners to see what they think. Thank-you

  • Edelbrock carburator problem?

    My brother in law has a 1978 K10 Pick-up truck running a 350 ci. engine. There has been a slight upgrade to a mild RV camshaft. The Edelbrock carburetor has been rebuilt with a master kit.

    There is a small flat spot in acceleration off the line, otherwise it performs well Timing has been checked with a light and is set where it should be. I though possibly that the metering rods and jets might not be matching correctly. I used to run this model of carburetor a previous engine with no hesitation. Any suggestions?

    On a 1991 Ramcharger 4X4 with a Borgeson steering shaft upgrade.

    At times , I feel a small irritating clunk by the crossmember. The steering feels tight.
