So one day my laptop decided to send the primary video to the external monitor jack, and the secondary screen to the laptop display. I can't see the BIOS screen or Grub boot screen (I run Linux Mint 15), and I get no laptop display output unless I set the displays to mirror. The screen works great, Mint (or Bodhi, or Ubuntu) runs great, it's just the monitors are switched. I've stumped HP support.

Curious, mostly...how popular has Linux gotten in schools, given the freedom from viruses, low hardware requirements, ease of use, cost savings, etc.? Does anyone have any good experiences?

..on our ranch house in New York. It covers an inch of foam board over a stud wall with blown insulation, so I don't need insulation. The plywood is solid, good nailing surface, just looks crappy & splintery. I want something I can install myself (I'm retired), looks great, low maintenance, cheap, maybe a little edgy instead of the vinyl that all my neighbors have. We have a metal roof, but steel would look kinda redneck/agricultural. I was wondering about the stucco board I see on commercial buildings.
