I am a senior in college and will be graduating in the spring with a degree in History and two minors: 'Global Studies' and 'Russian and Eastern European Studies.'   • Lost in my thoughts...?

    I told one of my friends that I liked her more than just my friend today. She is a lesbian and I have considered myself straight most of my life. In the last few months I have come to the realization that I also like girls and have been trying to understand how to explain this to my friends. I already talked to one of my closest friends about it and about my feelings for my other friend so I at least have some emotional support. So to get to the point, when I told my friend how I was feeling about her she very quickly explained that she didn't reciprocate the feelings but that I shouldn't worry about this hurting our friendship. Now I just feel depressed - I feel like my hearts been ripped out and I just want to cry. Will this ever get better? I just wish she would have told me why. Any advice?
