  • Do I need medigap insurance?

    I have Medicare due to disability. Because of that, the insurance companies are allowed to charge (a lot) more for my Medigap policy. I now pay over $300/month just for Medigap. My insurance company raises the rates every year after the open enrollment period ends. Would I do better to cancel the Medigap & put the amount to cover copayments & deductibles in a bank account?
