  • Does this count as a first kiss?

Well, when I was in fourth or fifth grade I had a good friend who I hung out with a lot. We were at her house and neither of us had had our first kiss so she wanted to practice it. We practiced kissing each other a few times and I remember not really wanting to do it. Would this be counted as a first kiss? It had no meaning and way empty and looking back on it it was really stupid. So was that a first kiss? I don't want my first kiss to be with a girl cause That's gross.

  • My dog has a hard lump on her side after surgery?

My dog got out and was attacked last Friday, and she was brought to the vet where she got stitches on her back. As we were bringing her to the vet, we noticed a lump on her side that was getting a little bigger as we drove. The vet said it was just air that had gotten under the skin while the wound was open and it should be fine.

Well today we noticed the lump was hard and her lower stomach was red, instead of pink, and so we took her to the vet to have her checked. They said she had a fever and she could have a perforated bowel creating that hard lump, so they are going to do surgery on her tomorrow morning and take a camera and look into the lump.

What could this lump be? I'm worried that if its a perforated/ruptured bowel that we'd have to put it down. What does it sound like it could be? I don't know exactly what it is till tomorrow morning but I won't be home the whole day so I have no way of finding out till later at night.

    Thanks!

  • Making a reef for a chlorine pool?

I was swimming yesterday and talking to a friend about SCUBA diving, and they said its really cool because you get to see all the reefs and fish and all. Because we have a good sized pool, I was thinking about if we could make a reef to put at the bottom of the pool to just have for decoration, no real fish or plants.

So, my question is, would it be possible to carve or make a reef out of a large foam block, and paint it to look more like a real reef, and then put some weights in it at the bottom? Would this idea work for a chlorine pool, or would I need to get some kind of sealant or special paint so it doesn't fade in the water? Also, do they already make anything like this? Thanks!

  • Airsoft war on private property?

I've been thinking recently about having an airsoft war with some friends and I know where I could do it. My family owns about 7 acres of land a few minutes away from where I live, and its in the country, not in a city. I was thinking of having it there, would there be any restrictions/ things that could get us in trouble with the cops? I have already talked to my parents about it, they said it'd be fine.

My grandfather also owns a good 30 acres of woodland, again not in a city, an hour-ish or so away from me, would I be able to do it there? There are some people that live right by the woods he owns but we could go pretty well into the trees.

So are there any legal issues with having an airsoft war in those two places? Anything the cops could do to us? Also, I've never really done much with airsoft before, so what are some tips on it? And because it is private property, we get to make the rules so what would be some good rules to lay down? I'm hoping to make it kind of mil-sim, so what guns/ clothing/ gear should I get for that?

    Thanks!

  • What does a Field Artillery Officer do?

    Hello,

I'm looking into joining the Army when I get older and I've been considering a Field Artillery officer, but I have a few questions on them. What exactly do they do? What do they do in combat? Just as a foreword, I'm going to say that I'm not afraid to go into combat, or looking for a "non-dangerous" job. So what do they do? Would it be a good choice for a woman? Thank you!

  • Air Force Pilot with Scoliosis?

I am 14 and I am researching a career in the Air Force as a pilot. Of course, this won't be happening (if it does) for a long while. But I have scoliosis, as of now, with an upper thoracic curve of 31 degrees. I am currently in a Spinecor brace which brought the curve down 2 degrees from 33. I don't know if it will get better or worse through the coming years, hopefully better.

Would I still be able to join the Air Force/ be a pilot? I also have 2 other curves, a 9 degree lumbar and another lumbar that is around 20 ish or so, I'm not sure. I have read that you are automatically disqualified if you have a curve over 30.

However, I am planning on getting a good degree and being the best I can be so I can be a desirable candidate (if that is the right way to say it, I'm not sure how to word it). I am currently in the Gifted program and I have good grade (4.0 so far this year).

Will my scoliosis be an issue if I want to join the Air Force? I know it is too early to determine where my scoliosis will go, but what are the chances that, if it stayed the same, I would still be able to get in? This is a job that really interests me. Thanks!

  • Jobs in the military?

    Hello,

I'm 14 and I am beginning to think about what jobs I would like to pursue as I get older. I have immense amounts of respect for those in the military and I would like to serve my country as they do. However, I am also interested in engineering and I was curious as to if there were jobs in the military that involve engineering. I enjoy designing new things and putting things together, are there any jobs in the military that involve this? What are some jobs in the military that are not combat? I know that with every job there is a risk of combat, but what I mean by combat jobs is where your job is to fight.

In short, what engineering jobs are there in the military that are available to women? Thank you!

  • Feeling like I need to get back to people in a dream?

I had a dream where I was good friends with a country singer because he was staying with me and my family for about 6 weeks. I was also good friends with a supposed monster, who wasn't really a monster and was really nice.

I feel like I need to get back to these 2 friends from my dream. It doesn't feel like a normal dream, it felt like I went into another world instead of just a dream. I find myself wanting to get them back and have them in my dream again, any way to dot his? And is there any reason why I feel like I need to be with them again? Thanks!

  • Feeling like I need to get back to my friends in a dream?

I had a dream about a guy that looked like either Luke Bryan or Chris Hemsworth (with short hair) and this guy was country singer who was staying in town for a few weeks and he was staying at my house. We were like best friends, and we always hung out together. Nobody believed me that he was staying with me and we were best friends so I posted a picture of us on instagram hanging out and people said it was photoshopped but then the country singer best friend commented on it and said thanks for fun hangout or something like that at I was like hehehehe and I never liked liked the country singer, we were just really good friends. So we were hanging out one time and he said he was leaving in like a few weeks and I got all sad but then he said he wasn’t and he was staying for 6 weeks and I was like yay he’s not leaving. Then he got bored so he went and put shrink wrap around a field goal at the football field, weird guy :D In the French building there was a “monster” in a room that was supposedly evil and dangerous and hurt people. I went to see it on day and it was actually super sweet and liked to cuddle and liked horse cookies. So me and the country singer best friend would go see the monster everyday at lunch but we had to close all the blinds and stuff to the room so nobody would see us in there and we would get in trouble. We always just hung out with the “monster.” One day we went in the room and there was a younger kid with black hair and glasses drawing a floating black dot in the room. I told him to draw the monster instead. I had had to make the monster invisible because the school wanted to kill it because it was “dangerous.” I'm 14 and in my dream this guy was probably late 20's or so. He was a country singer but didn't seem like it.

I feel like I need to get back to my friends, the country singer and the monster. I am a bit afraid that they will never be in my dream again, and they were good friends of mine and I want to be with them again. It makes this world feel strange and where they are is where I need to be. What does this dream mean? Is there any way that my mind will incorporate them into my coming dreams? How can I dream about them? Thanks!

  • Field boots(20 Characters)?

After searching around, I decided that I liked the Ariat Heritage Contour Zip Field boots, so I'm looking into getting them. Originally, I was going to get the Monacos from my barn if I could get a good price on them (the shop is closing down and everything is 1/2 off) but then I thought about it and realized that I wouldn't be able to ride in them often, just in shows.

I came across the Ariat Heritage Contour Zip Field boots and I like the contour park. I have chicken legs and tee tiny ankles, so the contour is a plus for me. My only issue is that my calf is about 12 1/2"-12 3/4" and the slim for the boots is a 13". Will they be alright? I'm afraid that they will stretch and get too big :(

So, has anyone tried them? Are they good boots? I'm ordering from Smartpak because I like their shipping. If the zippers break, does Ariat/Smartpak cover that? Thanks!

  • Ovation Sport Flex Field boots?

Some people at my barn have Ovation field boots and they seem like pretty nice boots. I was looking in the Dover catalog and I found some Ovations for a nice price. They were the Ovation Flex Sport Field Boots. I really like that their slims are slim enough for me. I also really like the price.

Has anyone tried these? I know Ovation boots tend to have zipper problems, but I'm ok with that; I'll figure a way to fix them. I noticed some of the Ovation boots at the barn had hair elastics where the string/leather on the sipper pull was.

Are these good boots? I went to the tack store today and they didn't have them, but that had the Ovation Finalist boots and they felt like plastic. How are the Flex Sport ones?

  • Guy friend likes me but I don't really like him?

I have a guy friend, lets call him T. T always sits next to me in one of our classes when he can. When I would go outside at lunch he'd hang out with me. My friend asked him a month ago if he liked me because I told her I thought he liked me and he said yes he did. I like him, but more so as a brother, not a boyfriend. I have only known him for this school year but we are pretty good friends. I like him but not to the point of wanting to date. I enjoy being around him and I can be myself, but if he asked me out I don't know if I would say yes or no. I can kind of see us becoming a couple. I really don't know if I would say yes or no. Although I know I would not be able to stand seeing him date someone else. What do I do?

I just heard about IEA, what is it? What do you do? Do you travel? Do you need your own horse? I looked at the website but I'm still not really understanding it. Thanks!

  • Wanting to go back to English?

Currently I ride Western but in my English saddle.

I've found that I'm wanting to go back to English more and more. Don't get me wrong, I like my Western barn and I love the way they treat their horses, but I really miss jumping and English. I'm pretty conflicted about ti because I've grown to be good friends with the people and owners of the Western barn but I feel like I can get farther in English. There are many English barns in my area, and I do like the one I got my half chaps at, but its kind of far away.

I help out with summer camps at my current barn, and I enjoy doing so. I just miss English riding. I feel like I could get farther in English. I enjoy English showing more, as in how it would be, instead of something just like rodeo or Western showing. I think I would enjoy English showing more.

I'm kind of afraid to talk to my parents about it, because she is also good friends with the barn owner at my current barn, and she likes how they do natural horsemanship. I used to do English, but it wasn't the best barn. The one I went to to get my half chaps last week was much better.

I just feel really conflicted right now. I'm kinda thinking of finishing my lesson pack for Western right now and maybe doing a few English lessons. I do sort of feel like I'd be almost betraying my current instructor by switching to English. What should I do?

    Thanks!
