Grief following a production?
Back story:
I just finished a lead role in a production of RENT. To put it mildly, it was a spiritual experience. The cast became this family like I have never experienced in any other theater group, or really any other setting in my life. Also, I may have kind of sort of fallen in love with a cast mate. But maybe my head is clouded with the show.
It has been nearly a month since we closed and I can't seem to put it in the past and move forward with everyday life. I've fallen quite depressed...which is something I've struggled with for years. Nothing feels like it has any "life" to it anymore. I wake up thinking about the loss I feel now that it's over, I think about it all day long and dream about it at night. I know this can't be normal. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything i can do to wake myself up from the fiction and get back to real life?
2 AnswersTheater & Acting7 years agoWhere can I rent a large (15-17 passenger) van for a long distance trip?
I live in upstate NY in the Oneonta/Binghamton area. Half of my family lives up North (New York and Mass) and the other half lives in Florida. I'm looking a way for the northern half of us to travel together down South to the other half of us for a reunion. Anyone know where I can look for a large Van or have any other cost-efficient ways to get 30 people that far?
1 AnswerOther - Cars & Transportation10 years agoActivities for my child while I study/do homework?
I'm a single mother of a 3 year old who is attending college full time for music education. The reality of this major is that often 12 credits = 8 different classes each demanding a certain devotion of my time in study and practice. The majority of my work gets accomplished after bedtime, but with early classes there's just not enough time for it all. The last thing I want to do is pop my child in front of a movie so I can do my work. But unfortunately that's what it has come down to, and it makes me feel like a selfish and inattentive mother.
I'm looking for suggestions or resources with quality activities that I can set her up with when I have to practice or study. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! : ]

Doing a mock-ish "formal research proposal" for my psych class. Here is my abstract so you have the basic idea
This study will explore what differences may occur in neurological activity when viewing familiar images, as opposed to unfamiliar ones. An individual will first be asked to briefly study a set of three images. They will then be shown a set of three new, unfamiliar images as brain activity is then monitored. Subsequently, individual will once again be shown the original set of three images. Frequency and amplitude of recorded oscillations will indicate how much neural activity can be correlated with viewing of the familiar, or the new images.
I'm looking for answers from people knowledgeable in psychology, as I have already looked up the definitions. I am unclear as to weather it's EP (because I'm looking for a response from a visual stimuli) or ERP (because I'm studying recognition, which could be considered a cognitive process) or both? I DON'T KNOW! HELP ME PLEASE! DUE TOMORROW!~
