Charity

I know if I have to ask, I probably shouldn't, but I have recently lost a lot of weight, and am just starting to build-up my wardrobe. This is an expensive venture, and I'm wanting to populate my wardrobe with some staples. Regardless of trying to stick with the basics, I have made every effort to find something else to wear that is attractive, I can have for future uses, is affordable, and is maybe a bit more appropriate, but honestly have had no luck. The only other option I have at this point is a dress I already own, that I can't find shoes to match and it's needing to be tailored as it's a bit short...It's also pretty colorful, so is more distracting in my opinion. Anyway, I asked the bride (through an email sent to her from her husband, my co-worker and friend), and she responded that she was perfectly fine with me wearing it. I'm obviously still questioning. Mostly because I don't want other guests to think me tasteless. I'll be wearing a black dressy tank underneath with black and cream heeled shoes & silver jewelry. I've even considered a colorful scarf to break-up the solid cream...What are your opinions on the subject? Thanks in advance!
