I am currently nannying for a month for two kids: an 8 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. I'm used to kids who love to read and make crafts and play outside and who have huge imaginations, but these kids literally have no interest in anything but watching movies and tv all day. The parents seem to have no issue with this and it appears that TV is the babysitter even when the parents are home. Both the kids are very unresponsive to any of my craft ideas or ideas about museum trips... however I don't feel right getting paid to just sit and watch tv all day, and I especially don't feel right just letting the kids do this.

What activities would interest two kids like this? They don't respond positively to any of my ideas that most kids like, like making homemade play dough or baking cookies.

I'm making scones and the recipe calls for heavy cream, but I misread it so I bought whole milk instead. I can't get back to the grocery store tonight... can I still use the whole milk or will it ruin my scones?

I started watching the new season on Animal Planet and I really want to see the first season now. anyone know where I can find it?

I realise it was originally recorded by Dobie Gray, but what album did Drift Away get released on by the Doobie Brothers? I'm trying to fix my iPod and I need to know which album so I can also find the correct album cover art. But I can't find it anywhere.. I have the Doobie Brothers version.

i have several videos that i want to post on youtube but youtube doesnt accept videos in windows movie maker format. my question is: how do i convert it into an acceptable format?

so i made the scones and now i'm not quite sure if they are done or not. the outside is light brown and crispy but when i press on them it gives a little but it kind of feels a bit like a really heavy cake thats a bit moist. does anyone know if they are done or not?

i am making scones and the recipe calls for 3/4 cup whipping cream. i realise that there are plenty of similar questions like this already but i need to know if milk will still work in a scone recipe.. most of the questions i found involved pasta. will milk suffice?

okay so there is this single cockroach and it is on the floor...dead i think. because we threw a shoe at it. but actually no it is not dead, its barely moving but ya. it is near the dvd player so no more watching movies until we figure this out. how do you guys suggest getting it in the trash or outside or in the toilet or whatever with the least amount of grossness. my dad wont help us and my brother isnt here. we are alone with a cockroach. HELP!!
