  • AS Physics moments with two pivots, help required.?

Hello. I have some homework on AS level physics and it has totally blown my mind. I have no idea how to solve it or even if I am getting anywhere near or not. The question is:

'A lorry of mass 24,000KG is crossing a bridge. The bridge is 32m long. When the lorry is at the centre of the bridge, what is the increase in upward push of each end of the bridge on the bridge structure?'

I am totally clueless about this. I converted the lorry into newtons (235440N) and then have no idea what to do with it. I've tried working out moments and stuff but since it is in the middle of the bridge the moment is the same for each end and I have no idea what I am doing.

The second part of the question says 'Where on the bridge will the lorry be when the additional upward force of one of the bridge supports (one side) is 80,000N'

Help and a brief explanation would be very, VERY helpful :)
