2 AnswersHistory1 decade agoWhat's a good monologue?
My acting teacher says I need a comedic or romantic (or romantic comedy) monologue that is around two minutes long. But I say it can be anything that isn't too gloomy. So anything not like, suicidal or supremely depressed, and if you know a really good romantic (because I really hate romance) monologue, then list that. (You don't have to write the whole monologue out, just give me a link or tell me what it's called). I'm a girl, but it can be a guy's monologue as long as it's not obviously a guy…you know? like if it's about a girl some guy loves, then no, but if it doesn't particularly matter, then whatever. I love Maximum Ride, btw, so if you know a good, probably internal monologue from there, I'd love to hear it. Or Hunger Games (but not from Mockingjay, please—I haven't read it yet!), or…any YA novels or plays. Just please try not to give like the whole plot away if it's from a book, cuz I might not have read it yet and don't want it spoiled or something. If you've read Liar by Justine Larbalestier (which i haven't, cuz it's not in my library), monologues from there sound like they'd be fun. Cuz they'd be lies, you know… whatever. Go Ask Alice (by anonymous) seems like it has good monologues. Um, anything good, you know. The Host, or Twilight even, I guess. Just not old stuff, cuz I'm told it HAS TO BE MODERN! :( so no shakespeare. or ANYTHING old! (I like the older stuff). Anyway, um, yeah, good monologues please! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D

2 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoHow can I make fake teeth for Halloween that can go over braces?
I found sites that say how to cast your teeth and how to shape the tips, and blah, blah, blah, but I can't find anywhere if you can do it over braces. I need a realistic looking full set of sharp teeth, and I only have bottom braces, so do you think I should just do the top set of sharp teeth, or is there a way to make fake teeth that can go over braces?
Thanks. ;)

3 AnswersHalloween1 decade agoWhat do you think of this story idea? (Because I find it ridiculous)?
I thought this stupid little story up after my mom sent me a link to a website that said how bad milk was for us, because it doesn't provide us with much calcium like we think, and turns us into acidic pus-balls…. And, then she sends me a link to a site about global warming, and how the icebergs are melting and polar bears will die, and the water will become acidic and the air too polluted to breathe… So, naturally, I come up with an idiotic story idea about milk and global warming eventually turning humans into vampire-like beings: tougher, stronger, sterile, photo-sensitive, etc… and instead of blood, milk. One vamp-guy time travels back to try to stop milk from becoming so popular, but the machine was untested, and it kills him, and his body appears in the middle of New York Times Square, where the people who try to help him, burn themselves on his blood…. And that's pretty much it for now. I don't think it's worth continuing, but second opinions? Thnx. Don't be afraid to tell me it sucks. :P

12 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade ago'City of Bones' and 'Valiant: A Modern Tale of Faerie'…?
Why, In City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, is there a paragraph about two 'mundanes' who have nothing to do with the plot, yet are almost exactly like characters from Valiant: A Modern Tale of Faerie by Holly Black (who, btw, praises City of Bones on the cover)?
'Clary saw a girl about her own age with a smoothly shaved bald head leaning against a brown-skinned boy with dreadlocks, his face adorned with a dozen piercings. He turned his head as the carriage rolled by as if he could see it, and she caught the gleam of his eyes. One of them was clouded, as though it had no pupil.'
It sounds to me like the descriptions of Luis and Val from Valiant: A Modern Tale of Faerie, even though that passage was from City of Bones.
What do you think?

It's basically about evil faeries banishing a good faerie to the woods which are deadly.
Anything random that comes to mind is greatly appreciated! It's fantasy/action/romance and there's magic. Thanks!

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoAny great fiction books out there?
Something fantasy or sci-fi, romantic, and preferably with action. Anything like The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins I will consume. ;) Or anything like Lauren Kate's Fallen, or something. :) It doesn't HAVE to be those genres, but something good, and modern. Like The Green Book by Jill Patton. I don't care if there are R-rated scenes in it, but please tell me if it does. And I don't really care if there's swearing, but just so my mom doesn't freak out, please tell me if there is a lot. :) Like Feed by M. T. Anderson has swearing on every page. Not so good, you know. :P Okay, I'll shut up and let you suggest good books. :)
Thank you in advance!
-V ;)
P.S.
books I have read and liked:
The Host - Stephanie Meyer
Twilight - Stephanie Meyer
The Green Book - Jill Patton
The Golden Compass - Phillip Pullman
Fallen - Lauren Kate
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling
Feed - M. T. Anderson
P.P.S. I don't know how to chose best answer still, because I'm really stupid like that, but all your answers will be greatly appreciated!!
