  • Calling all Dr Who fans, esp in the UK...?

I'm curious as to whether the shows we see here via BBCAmerica channel is up to date to what you guys have been watching. Just in case, SPOILER ALERT

The last episode we saw was season 7, Ep 5, "The Angels Take Manhattan". Since you guys I'm guessing, see episodes before we get them imported to the USA, what else do we have to look forward to or are you waiting until XMas like we are?

Lastly, any more Torchwood in the works? Last I saw was "Miracle Day".

Thanks to all of you from someone who absolutely knows that you guys make WAY better shows than we do. Most of our stuff, as you know same s***, different day!

  • What are they smoking on Mad Men?

I know the show tries to be as authentic to the time period as possible and a lot of people smoked back then, but you can't tell me that all of the actors and actresses are really smoking while shooting the show, are they? What do you think they "smoke" on the set in place of real cigarettes? It's way too much for special effects and these days, I can't imagine it's even legal! And I doubt it's those ridulous electric cigarette things.

I've read interviews with cast members and about the show, but I've never read anything about the smoking. Anyone have the answer?

    Thanks

  • Torchwood question....and Mark Harmon?

I just finished watching Torchwood on Starz on Demand, I am pretty sure in was Season 1, episodes 4-9 and I'm hooked.

I know that Capt Jack was a character from Dr Who (I am ashamed to admit I googled it and read the different reviews, wiki info etc) but there's not way I can "catch up" on Dr Who! SInce I know there are a lot of Dr Who fans out there and if possible, a lot of you have probably watched Torchwood, can you let me know whether I really need to know anything else other than Jack Harkness was a character that, for Torwood purposes, was immortal, has traveled through time, may or may not be gay, has a very special coat and now, since "Miracle Day", he's mortal?

If so, I don't mind spoilers JUST to catch me up, could you fill me in?

Oh Yeah...does anyone else think that John Barrowman looks like a younger Mark Harmon?

    Thanks everyone:)

  • Pretty Little Liars...?

Last week, when I guess it was the season premier of PLL's...there were dozens of questions about the season's premiere...where can I watch...what's it about...what do you think of so-and-so.

WTF is SO freakin special about this show? It seems to me to be a ridiulous, contrived, poorly written, even though it seems like it has fans holding on by a thread every single week!

Can someone let me in on the secret?

  • NCIS/ Agent Gibbs question?

I've seen every episode of NCIS and I've noticed that Gibbs wears a medic alert bracelet (I doubt Gibbs is into jewelry), but there's never been any mention of it. Since his character was a Marine, could it be that Mark Harmon is the one wearing the bracelet?

    Any thoughts?

  • Looking for a medical translation book.?

II do a lot of work with victims of assault in the ER and afterwards. I already have a source for Spanish, Italian, French and German, but I was hoping there was something out there with basic words and phrases in even more languages. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the help!!
