Excel Case Statement Help?
I need help with an excel vba case statement for work.
Below is my code.
Select Case Range("AN2").Value
Case Is = "AMOUNT"
Range("AG2").Value = "DECIMAL"
End Select
Select Case Range("AN2").Value
Case Is = "AMOUNT"
Range("AH2").Value = "18"
End Select
Select Case Range("AN2").Value
Case Is = "AMOUNT"
Range("AI2").Value = "3"
End Select
End Sub
Basically what i want to do is expand the range, what I am wanting is for example to say anywhere within cells AN2:AN3000 (or basically anywhere within the AN column) that has the word "AMOUNT" that any corresponding cells in AG, AH & AI contain DECIMAL, 18, 3.
For example if within column AN cell 250 I selected AMOUNT from the drop down list i have created then Cell AG250 AH250 and AI250 would populate DECIMAL In AG250, 18 in AH250 and 3 in A250.
Hope that makes sense or is possible to do, I am sure there is a way but I can't think how.
If any further details are needed please ask as this needs to be done asap.
Thanks in advance for any help!
2 AnswersProgramming & Design8 years agoHow to crate train my 6 month old staffy?
We got a 6 month old staffy 5 days ago. She required alot of training, most of which I have already instilled in her, for example no biting or jumping up I have trained that into her and to stop barking etc. The only thing we are stuggling to get into her is the stopping barking when we leave the room, if we leave the room she howls and howls especially at night. I understand its a new environment for her but by now she should be settling in her new home and quietening down when we leave her and at night.
I understand dogs are pack animals and to get your dog to listen you need to show you are the leader of their pack, and the howling i also understand is the dogs way of calling out to her pack and asking them to come to her.
I work from home twice a week so she is home 3 days out of 7 alone, although this week my days working from home are followed by a consecutive day with my partner being on holiday from work.
At night we put her in a cage/crate and we allow her to cry it out for a good half hour to 45 minutes, the first night was successfull and she slept quietly all night after the initial 45 minutes, second night was the same. The third she awoke at 1am and howled constantly untill 2am, we went down and let her out for the toilet from which she went back in her cage and howled from 2am till 3am.
The result has been my partner and I are taking it in turns sleeping on the sofa next to her cage so she settles and sleeps.
Obviously this is not what we need and I have read ways online to get her crate trained through the day. We have tried putting a treat in the cage so she associates being in the cage with getting a treat. We are now trying to leave her in her cage for a few minutes in the day and leaving her and returning and doing this regularly so she knows when she goes in her cage we will come back.
If me or my partner goes upstairs or leave her alone she constantly howls even if its just for a minute or 2. We feel we have tried and are trying everything, although i don't expect her to be trained without us by now i do expect her to have made progress on this which she hasn't.
Through the day when we work she is left in the kitchen with her food and water, her bed and her cage open for her to choose to go in or not, but again she howls for a good hour or 2 before settling.
Just looking for some advice for this as its the only thing that hasn't progressed since we have had her and nothing seems to be helping with this which is getting quite frustrating for ourselves and the neighbours (although they say they don't mind it would drive me wappy)
I know alot of people will refer to this as "Seperation Anxiety" but by now with us coming and going and showing her we are not leaving her as she thinks we are this should be settling down a bit by now.
She is exercised minimum of 3 walks a day all of which are a good 30-45 minutes +
We know we have to be consistant with this and it will take time but by now as mentioned previously she should have settled.
I believe what the problem is her previous owners let her get on the sofa, which we don't allow yet, let her sleep with her in their bed, which will confuse the dog into believe she is equal status as leader of the pack. I think she has had 6 months of being allowed to be the leader and now we are showing her we are in charge she is confused and barking as she feels her pack (us) are not there for her to keep an eye on.
Any help is appreciated thank you.
4 AnswersDogs9 years agoI have been done for drink driving, and am due in court end of feb..what can i expect?
I am a 20 almost 21 year old male with no previous convictions, it is my very first offence. One night stupidly after having a drink a friend and I went out for a drive in his car, i was a learner driver and he let me practise in his car even though we was both over the limit. Cut a long story short we crashed into a wall, i ended up needed 8 stitches to my head, fractured jaw, ribs and major whiplas. I am due in court at the end of february and i am worried of what is to come as this is my first offence. What is the likely outcome for me? There hasn't been a day gone by i regretted what happened, every day i look in the mirror i am reminded so please no comments saying i was stupid and deserve to go to jail. I am fully aware i was stupid and an idiot and endangered others lives aswell as myself and yeah maybe i do deserve to go to jail but i just don't need anyone lecturing me when i can't forgive myself for what happened. Any help and answers is much appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to read my story and question.
