  • Why do electric devices cause me to hear a high pitched noise?

For some reason. Whenever an electric device is turned on within 50 feet of me, I hear a high pitched screeching noise until it is unplugged, or I move out of the vicinity. This also applies to certain radio frequencies. Whenever a walkie-talkie or scanner is turned on within about 50 feet of me, it just sets of the most annoying & painful screeching sound in my ears. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening (it has been happening my entire life), my family doctor believes it is Tinnitus, but he says the symptoms do no match. So any advice or insight into my current problem, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Gr.11 Academic Math Problems?

Express the function in vertex form by completing the square:

    F(x) = 3x2 (squared, not times 2) + 16x - 7

Determine the equation of the inverse of the quadratic function. Use f-1(x) (-1 is supposed to be subscript) to denote the inverse.

    y = 3(x+5)2(squared, not times 2) + 9

  • When did the Holocaust death-toll origins?

I am unable to think of a proper way to word this, but I'll try. When did the original figure of Holocaust victims emerge, so what year did the (6 million +) figure emerge to the general public. I am not asking for what people believe the "true" number to be, nor do I want to know whether or not people believe that the Holocaust even "happened", I just want to know what year the original estimation came into "being" and the public eye. Please and thank you

  • Horrible degree problems, please help?

I have a parallelogram with 4 angles (A is on the bottom-left, B is on the bottom-right, C is on the top-left, and D is on the top-right). I know that m<CDB = 107.65 degrees, and that m<CBA = 19.98 degrees. Can someone help me solve for the remaining angles and show me how so I can in the future (F.Y.I all of the < symbols are supposed to be those little triangle symbols, but I don't know how to show those on a computer keyboard).

  • Problems extracting an ISO?

I am trying to extract an ISO file for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, I have the WinRAR files for Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal, but whenever I extract them I get all of the files instead of an ISO, this isn't a problem initially because the game, as well as the expansions install perfectly, but when I try to play them I get a (no CD) error, and I can't find a (no CD) crack that actually works. So does anyone know of a way for me to prevent WinRAR from extracting the files and instead extract the ISO, or a way to play Morrowind without a CD in the drive (or mounted) ?

  • Help with Slope of a line ?

I have a graph, the y-axis of this graph represents mass (g) up-to 100g, and the x-axis represents volume (mL) up-to 100 mL. I have 3 liquids (A, B, and C) and have to weigh them in a graduated cylinder. I have to measure them with the amount of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 mL and I have recorded their mass. From this information I was able to find the density of the liquids, but now I am supposed to find the Slope of the Line for each of the liquids, how do I do this with the given information ? (the steps not the answer)

  • Help with complex problem?

I must design a perfume bottle, the surface area must be less than 150 cm2, contain at least 100mL of perfume. The design has to be a cylinder

Determine the maximum volume possible for a cylindrical bottle that has a total surface area of less than 150 cm2. Determine the volume to the nearest 10mL. What are the dimensions of the bottle and the total Surface area and volume ?

This cylindrical perfume bottle needs to be boxed in a prism for sale on store shelves. The box must have the smallest possible surface area, while still being able to contain the perfume bottle, what are the dimensions, surface area, and volume ?

A second bottle is to be a spherical shape with a diameter of 7cm. Determine the volume and surface area of this bottle.

The spherical bottle has a conical shaped lid with a diameter of 5cm and a height of 4.5cm. Given this information, calculate the volume and surface area of the lid of the spherical shaped bottle.

Determine the dimensions of the smallest possible box which could be used to package the new bottle with its spherical bottle and conical-shaped lid. However, this box is not shaped like a rectangular prism. The box must be shaped like a pyramid. Calculate the volume and surface area of this pyramid-shaped box ?

  • Help with Math Question?

Student council agrees that it would be nice to have different clocks throughout the school. Each room will eventually have a new clock that somehow reflects the subject taught in the room.

All the math department clocks will have the same base layer with differences in the clock face. The math department clock bases will be a 12-sided regular polygon. You have volunteered to sketch the base so that construction technology classes can begin building the clocks.

Complete the sketch, indicating both the necessary interior and exterior angles. Show your calculations beside the sketch.

Calculate the number of diagonals that could be drawn on the base of the clock.

"A square is a rhombus." Prove or deny this statement. Justify your answer.

"A parallelogram is a rectangle." Prove or deny this statement. Justify your answer.

  • Equation of a Perpendicular Bisector?

I have a triangle with 3 points. A (13, -1), B (-3, -13), and C (-1, 1). I have already figured out the slope of AB (3/4), the midpoint of AB (5, -7), and the perpendicular bisector of AB (-4, 3). My homework assignment is to figure out the equation (y = mx + b) of the perpendicular bisector. I am unsure of how to do this, so can someone please show me a step by step answer for this problem ?

  • Water molecules in the air?

I am conducting a experiment for my high school science class right now, the experiment is very lengthy so I won't explain it in it's entirety, but my question is about water molecules in the air. I know that there are water molecules in the air, no matter where you are (as long as your in the earth's atmosphere, although the amount of molecules in the air differ depending on the region), my question is that since we already know the freezing point of water, and that water expands when frozen, would it be possible to enlarge the water molecules in the air to the point of being visible to the naked eye (no matter how few) by freezing them ?

  • Muscle Building Diet?

I exercise everyday, 3 different abdominal and pectoral exercises (100 for each of them) and 4 different ways of lifting weights (30 for each of them). I am 15 yrs. old, weigh 160, and am 6 foot 1 inch tall. some reason I do not seem to be getting any extra muscle, I still have baby fat and I am working towards extreme fitness, I have been working out for 4 months now, and I feel it is time for me to go on a diet for building muscle (nothing crazy, just a few extra foods and some foods cut that I normally eat). So given my body information what should I do (diet wise) to help me gain muscle ?
