  • Cryptologic Linguist, which branch of the Military?

I'm really keen on joining the Military to start a career as a Linguist although my background is Economics (have a MS.c in Economics). Been living outside the U.S for 3 years and have gained a big interest in languages and want to start a career dealing with Languages but don't want to go back to school for it.

Which branch is best as a Linguist?

Are there any special pay or enlistment bonus?

Do you think I am going into the right direction?

    Thanks,

P.S I'm already multilingual but would like to learn a Cat. III-IV language.

  • What is the difference between Endogenous growth and Semi-endogenous growth in Economics?

Currently, I am studying the Jones and Romer Model in my Economic Growth class. I know the Jones Model is a semi-endogenous growth model and that is R&D based and the Romer is a endogenous growth model. But what is the difference between them.

    Thanks

  • Where does the Haitian surname Metayer and Pelage comes from?

I've always wanted to know about my genealogy but it's hard to track! My mother's surname is Pelage and my father's is Metayer. I know the African slaves that were brought into Haiti were undocumented but if anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it.

  • What factors affect High School Students Performance?

I am conducting an economic reseach on what affect high schoolers performance. My dependent variable is Florida FCAT scores and my independent variables are Household Income, Teacher Salary, Unemployment Rate and Crime rate. When I ran the regression my R-squared was low, so I would like to add more independent variable. Any suggestions?

  • French programs in a Foreign Country?

Does anybody have more information about french programs in different countries. I really want to be a Polyglot and I am not going to become one by living in the States and taking Spanish or French classes.
