In IE7 on Vista, whenever I place my cursor over text, the mouse doesn't change into the text selection mouse. It just remains a hand. How do I select text?

My periods are usually very heavy, and while I'm having them I get dizzy spells all the time--while lying down, getting up, walking around, etc. I told my mom about this, and she said it was because of blood loss. What should I do about it?

If so, is it a habit, or just a thing you do when you're nervous or something?

I just got a new Windows XP computer. When downloading files, the file downloads quickly but the download window stays open so it can 'verify' the file. However, I can never download anything because it takes forever to 'verify'. Why does it take so long, and what can I do about it? Thanks.

C'mon, let's be honest!

1. Do you have a clean mouth, do dirty words occasionally slip, or do you have a BAAAAD case of Tourette's syndrome?

2. What kind of dirty words do you use? The mean ones, the dirty ones, or the reallyreally bad ones?

I'm curious to see what you guys say. As for me, I'm pretty clean, but sometimes I've been known to say a very minor cuss word like 'crap'. I'd NEVER use the F word, no matter how angry I was.

Do you think you could go an entire day without saying "I" or not? And if so, how hard would it be? Would you catch yourself about to say it?

My friend challenged me to do this one time and it was really hard for me.

For me, it's when people respond with useless answers in response to a good question that someone genuinely needs help with. For example, I see a lot of "lol, idk" and "I don't know. Thanks for the 2 points!!!"

My dad is offering to take me shopping today to buy a new video game for my Wii, since all I have right now is Wii Sports that came with the game. What do you guys reccommend?

Since I am planning on getting a new Wiimote as well, I'd like something that is good to play with both a lot of people and alone, and is really fun. Also, it should be something that people who don't normally play video games will like. My mom used to hate video games, but got addicted to Bowling on Wii Sports because it's easy to learn and fun to play.

P.S. Right now I can hear people yelling, "ZELDA! ZELDA!" I've never been that into Zelda, and I don't think that's a good game for non-gamers, but if it's THAT good, I'd consider getting it.

People keep thinking my username is weird. I disagree with this strongly, as I have personally witnessed some very strange people on Y!A with far stranger names than mine. Being named 'hugsforfrazier' isn't that bad, is it???

Has anyone noticed the crap songs we're forced to hear again and again everywhere? Don't get me wrong, I actually like a lot of new songs (IMO, 'Thanks for the Memories' by Fall Out Boy's tune is awesome) but many popular songs are just terrible and annoying. Listen to songs like Rihanna's 'Umbrella', Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable', and Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend'. I want honest opinions on this! Do you like most modern songs, or are a fan of older music?

I come here to answer Internet questions and what do I get? A 1,000 Myspace questions, which I know NOTHING about. Why are people so obsessed with Myspace, a stupid site where you meet people online, when you can just go outside and meet people? I really don't understand this. I think the people that use Myspace a lot need to get a life, and the people that use Myspace think I need to get a life.

And why do people keep asking how to go on Myspace at school? This is just absurd. Why don't they just focus on their schoolwork instead of wasting their mind on dumb sites?

If everyone that answers this question says something like "HEY myspace is GR8T u need 2 try it" then I'll know that people today are truly messed up.

When I was a child, I used to be a terrible nail-biter. Not only would I chew my fingernails down to the nub, I would also bite on the skin around the fingernail. I've stopped doing this at about 10, but the ugly cuts on my finger are still there. It's painful because occasionally, the cuts start to bleed a little. It really bothers me that the cuts haven't healed yet, and I wash my fingers out A LOT to make sure they don't get infected.

Whenever I'm getting my nails painted by a friend, I get 'What the hell did you do to yourself?' looks.

How can I get these cuts to go away? Should I see a dermatologist about this?

I share one computer with my parents at home. I don't mind sharing with Dad because he only uses it once a week to check emails and stocks, but ever since Mom got into real estate, she's been using the computer HOURS per day! She always asks me if she can get on. Normally, I'm doing something unimportant like playing games, so this isn't a problem. But I get really irritated when she asks me to get off while I'm doing a school report, or something important!

Mom has several 'tactics' she uses whenever I won't get off the computer for her. Sometimes, she simply closes the window I'm on without even asking me (really annoying, since now I have to start over). Or she'll say that I have to do a certain chore, and then get on while I'm doing it.

I hate when she does this. How can I get her to stop? And why does she always take advantage of me like this?

It bugs me that people always insist on drinking diet soda, all the time, even if they don't need it! When I say, "If you want to stay healthy, just drink water. Diet soda is unhealthy," they reply, "Um, duh diet soda is healthy! Why do you think it's called DIET?!"

I know that water is a better beverage than diet soda. But are there really any health benefits to drinking diet soda, instead of regular?! Or is diet soda just disgusting toxic waste filled with artificial stuff?

I know there's a setting on the DS that allows you to skip the main menu and go straight to the game, but I must have accidentally set that and can't figure out how to get the main menu back? Could anyone help?
