  • postpartum bleeding/period/bleeding from pill? which one is it?

I had my daughter almost 8 weeks ago and my postpartum bleeding hadn't really stopped. Last week I started the mini pill and just 4 days ago I started bleeding more heavily. What could it be? Did I get my period?

My husband and I also had sex 4 days ago... could he have done something?

  • Postpartum bleeding... how much longer will it last?

Might be TMI for some, but just need to know. I had my daughter 7 weeks ago and the bleeding/spotting hasn't stopped. I bled a lot the first first days, and since then its just been a steady light bleeding/spotting, and brown. Did anyone else bleed longer than 6 weeks? Should I consult my doctor? There hasn't been any pain or changes in the blood or flow... what should I do?

  • I haven't smoked since I got pregnant, and I'm still breastfeeding...

And I took a few puffs of a cigarette. How long should I wait before breastfeeding again? I plan on pumping tonight and tomorrow and I won't be smoking again until I'm completely done breastfeeding... what should I do?

  • my husband feels excluded from taking care of my child...

Does anyone know any websites or books my husband could read so he could feel more comfortable and confident about helping me care and take care of our 6 week old daughter. He gets very frustrated easily when he can't figure out why she's crying or when she's fussy. He s out of the house almost 12 hours a day and hasn't been able to get to know our daughter like I have. Any recommendations or suggestions I can have him read up on instead of me trying to tell him all the time? I'm getting a little frustrated having him hand our daughter to me everytime he doesn't think he knows what he's doing... help!

  • is my baby eating too much?

My daughter is 6 weeks old and bottlefeeding formula but she wants to feed every 1.5 hours to 2 hours. I'm only feeding her 2 ounces each feeding, but is that too much? Should I be feeding her 3 ounces or more to get her to not feed so often? What do you think?

  • can I get a tattoo if I am still breastfeeding my baby?

Does the ink affect my breastmilk in any way?

  • my 6 week old can roll onto her side by herself...

We put her on her back to sleep and she ends up on her side when we wake up. Is this normal for her age? I'm scared she might hurt herself some how.

  • How do you say "no" to a mother in law?

My husband and I just had our first daughter (now 5 weeks old), and my mother in law insists on pushing how she raised her children on my daughter. She insists on giving her a bath EVERYDAY, putting different kinds of oils and lotions on her without asking me, insisting I go take a nap or go out so she could watch her. I know she has raised 3 boys and 1 girl of her own, so I understand she has experience (although her youngest children are a bit spoiled and "babied") . I don't really agree with some of the ways she takes care of my daughter, like putting the pacifier in her mouth everytime she cries. So how do I tell her that my husband and I want to choose how and when to do things with our child without hurting her feelings? I'm not ready to just let her be taken care of alone even by my own parents, since this is our first child... am I being too over protective, and should just let my mom in law take care of our daughter?
