  • How would I find the product key for my old Windows 98 CD?

Windows 98 is not installed on my computer and the product key is not listed on my disc nor on the cd case. I don't even remember ever having a sticker either, not that it would matter because that computer is long gone now. I'm just wondering if I could find it in some file on the disc.

  • Question about Zelda "Ocarina of Time"...?

I just got to the point where Link turned into an adult. I know there are things that only young Link can get, like some of the golden skulltulas... I haven't gotten all of them yet and other things, so do I have the ability to become young Link again at anytime so I can get all of this stuff, or am I stuck as adult Link for the remainder of the game??

  • Should the Wings make an offer to Brendan Shanahan?

I know he is not nearly as effective as he used to be, but the Wings have a HUGE shortage of right handed shooters. With the loss of Samuelsson, Maltby is now the only forward who shoots right. Also on defense the only righthander is Brian Rafalski. If they decide to sign anyone, they NEED to go after a righthanded player. Any other right handed options out there??

  • Why does NBC not allow the game broadcasted outside Mellon Arena?

Doesn't make sense to me. What's the difference between a few hundred (I don't know how many people show up) people watching the game in their homes, a local bar, or outside an arena??? They still will see the ads won't they??? At least there they probably won't change the channel like we do at home to avoid the intermission crap by NBC. It's not the way to make fans happy and enjoy your coverage. I've read a few posts on it, but still have not seen a good reason.

  • Question about Game 1...?

GO WINGS!!!!! So the question... Kirk Maltby lost his helmet at one point in the 3rd period, then went to the bench. He then came back out without his helmet and played another shift. For some reason I thought that was a penalty or at least not allowed. Am I getting confused with international hockey rules?? Does anyone know the official NHL rule??

  • Why would a Wings/Pens final not be a good thing?

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AmztV4NIQmD8...

Doesn't make sense to me. So you would have the two best teams in hockey competing for the Stanley Cup. You have Detroit with a huge fan base and Pittsburgh also with a large fan base. You have the Marian Hossa thing. It's a rematch of a budding rivalry. It's Wing's fans and Pens fans hating eachother and building up the hype of their respective teams. Hmmm, sounds like what you want in a Cup Final. Exciting and good for ratings.

The only way this is not a good thing obviously is if you are not a Wings or Pens fan. If the Wings aren't in the Finals, I'm not going to enjoy it as much. If the Pens aren't in the Finals, then the Pens fans aren't going to enjoy it as much. Any fans of the other teams are going to be sad that their team isn't there. Seriously, I couldn't think of a better Finals than this matchup if you are a person who just wants to watch hockey and has no team biases. You always want the BEST in the Finals. That hasn't happened much in recent years. There is always a Cinderella it seems. Last year and maybe 2007 was the first time in a while that didn't feature that. This would be an even more exciting series than last year because of everything that happened between then and now. Also the gap between the two teams is much smaller this year. Some may think "here we go again"... but I say add some more fire to this rivalry. It's a good one.

  • Do the Blackhawks expect to win....?

When they play Kane 15:10 and Toews 14:45... Comparatively Adam Burish gets 12:30 and Ben Eager gets 11:13. I know those guys are energy guys and Quenville likes to roll four lines, but do you really think you are going to be successful in a playoff series against Detroit by giving guys like Burish and Eager almost the same amount of ice time as Kane and Toews??? As a Wings fan this baffles me. Do you really want to make it that easy for guys like Lidstrom and Rafalski? All the talk about the Blackhawks, rightfully so or not, is always Kane and Toews, but I don't see why. Patrick Sharp and Martin Havlat get more playing time. Even Keith played less than 20 minutes. If you want to beat Detroit you have to make it tough on them. Sure Burish scored, albeit a stupid giveaway by Osgood, but these guys are not going to win you the series. Also if they think that Burish's agitation skills will get under the skin of the Wings and take them off their game... they are mistaken.

Burish and Eager DEFINITELY have their place on this team, but do they really need them to play more than 10 minutes??

    13 AnswersHockey1 decade ago
  • How lucky is Adam Burish?

No... I'm not talking about his goal. That skate to the throat he had was crazy. It looked the the blade hit his neck straight on, if that was just an edge of the skate... that would have been bad.

  • Who has a guess to what Sergei Gonchar's injury is?

I say torn or partially torn ACL. The way the Pens organization talked about him being done for the playoffs would indicate that it is probably not just a sprain. Also, I believe it is easier to play with a torn ACL than a sprained anything. It will be interesting to see after Pittsburgh's last game what they say about it, especially if he plays through it.

  • Why is Walker not suspended??????? Anyone have an explanation?

So I just read on NHL.com that Scott Walker was fined $2,500 for the sucker punch on Aaron Ward and no additional punishment will be given. Seriously... I'm not a fan of either team, but how can the league suspend Daniel Carcillo for a game and then just fine Scott Walker. That was the worst sucker punch I've seen in a LONG time. Not only that, but Aaron Ward most likely will be out with a broken orbital bone. How in the #### can this be punished less than that Daniel Carcillo "love tap". I for one am sick of the "should have been suspended" talk in this postseason, but this one takes the cake. I agree with every other decision so far (based on the precedence the NHL set, I say this because the Carcillo one was weak, but they warned about late game attacks). I agree with no suspension for Mike Brown (I'm a Wings fan), Ovechkin, Kunitz, Jokinen, etc. I agree with suspensions for Andre Roy and Donald Brashear. But now this. The NHL blew it on this one. At the very least it should warrant a suspension based on the same grounds that Carcillo was suspended for. But the fact is that this punch was much much worse.

Hopefully the "no more punishment" part of the article was premature and not true, but I doubt it. By the way a quote from Jim Rutherford of the Hurricanes..."We are satisfied with the league's ruling," and "I accept the league's decision," said Scott Walker. Something tells me the Bruins won't be as happy.

  • Question about Detroit/Anaheim game (read on)?

So now that we all have expressed our opinions about the actual game that took place... What did those who watched the game think about the camera work and replay ability of the Versus coverage?? Most of the penalties weren't shown in replay... and also the camera guy seemed to be someone they dragged in out of a basketball game. He was slower than crap following the puck and sometimes would go at least 5 seconds without knowing where the puck was. He'd be following some guy nowhere near where the puck was going. He also had no concept of anticipating where pucks were going. Was just awful. Now I don't know if this was a Joe Louis arena person or a Versus person, but I've never seen someone that bad on a Fox Sports Detroit broadcast.

So did anyone else notice this???

  • Is there any other team better than the Canucks at working from behind the opponent's net?

They are the best team I've seen with their ability to strike from behind the net. They always have forwards in position in the slot, and magically always seem to either avoid detection or fight for position. They are always able to make that pass to the slot from behind the net. Especially the Sedins. I really think that the Canucks are the only team from the West that can take the winner of the Detroit/Anaheim series. And I really think that Vancouver is the only team that can oust the Wings this year.

  • Is it a good strategy for coaches to complain about officiating during the playoffs?

It's that time of year again and it just seems like every year there are coaches trying to sway the officials by calling them out when they talk to the media. We all remember Michel Therrien last year. Brian Burke is usually one who does it, but obviously this year he is not in the playoffs. So far Vineault is complaining about snow showers to Luongo (really, is that the best you got), Keenan about goalie interference (nice try, but good no call in OT), Hitchcock about cheating on faceoffs (probably true, but we all know the best faceoffers cheat). All this after one game.

Is this a good strategy or does it hurt your team in the end? Refs are unbiased of course (insert jokes here), does it really affect them? Or in the end does it make the coach just look like a whiner??

This on the night Carolina outshot the Islanders 57-12. That is just crazy.

  • Is Pavel Datsyuk physical??? Read on for details... especially you bulian1?

Following quote by bulian1 about Datsyuk.

"takes and gives hits (to players) 5 inches, 50 pounds heavier????? Datsyuk??? He couldn't hurt a fly. hahahahaha u redwing fans are funny. Theres no way you can call him best all around player in the world as much as i don't really like him Evgeni Malkin is the best all around player in the world and all you redwing bandwagoners know it.

The best players on the ice want to and play the most minutes, you see captains like Marleau, Richards, Iginla,Crosby, Kovalchuk, Nash, Morrow, Koivu, Alfredsson are all in the top of the league in minutes because they want to be out there every shift. San Jose has just as much if not more depth than Detroit but you see a forward their captain Marleau averaging more than 2 minutes more than Datsyuk per game. They both kill penalties so tell me why cant Datsyuk hang with the big boys in ice time??? He's not elite physical shape fools! He's got great skill, instinct and knowledge of the game but he isn't big and strong enough to endure 22 minutes a night unlike a Malkin, Crosby, Ovechkin who all have MORE POINTS than Datsyuk and MORE ICE TIME which puts them on the ice longer because they can handle it. If Datsyuk was the best player in the world then he would have the most points in the NHL but he's not even close. Get a clue detroit fans."

Ok bulian1... if you don't think Datsyuk is physical and that he can't handle playing more minutes... watch some clips. Enjoy.

    Hordichuk's not exactly a candy @ss either.

Ryan Malone... 5 inches taller, 30 pounds heavier than Datsyuk.

Just a few of the many hits by Datsyuk.

  • HAAAAA!!! When is Marty Turco going to learn not to go after guys in front of him?

I love it. He just lost the game for the Stars. If he doesn't take that stupid, selfish penalty they win that game. Turco just doesn't think sometimes.

  • Does anyone like the Avs play by play guy?

Ok, so I was unable to watch the Detroit/Colorado game (I'm a Detroit fan) so I watched the highlights on nhl.com. The highlights have the Avs commentators for audio. I have to say that guy is THE most annoying broadcaster I have ever heard... even worse than ESPN's Chris Berman, and if you knew my utter disdain for him, you would know that is a big deal. Seriously, I want to kill someone when I hear him yell "GOOOOAAALL". Many commentators are blessed with a good and unique way of calling a goal. Gary Thorne was my favorite. In reality, either you have it or you don't. Please don't force it. This guy, doesn't have it. I think if I was an Avs fan, I would listen to the radio while I watched or else just mute the TV. I really don't know how anyone can listen to his complete suckiness, especially if you were in the booth with him.

  • What is the significance of the Penguins third jersey?

Usually third jerseys are either a throwback or different uses of primary and secondary team colors. Is the powder blue jersey a throwback?? I just don't remember ever seeing old clips of Penguins players wearing blue jerseys, of course the earliest clips we ever get to see are from Mario Lemieux's rookie season. Personally I think that color doesn't belong on a professional team's jersey. As a Michigan resident, I guess the only thing I can associate with that color is the Detroit Lions. So to me, that color shows weakness and complete suckiness. I mean really, who is afraid of a team wearing powder blue, if that is what you call it. (Lion's are Honolulu blue, not any better). Pittsburgh is black and gold... period. Any time I see the word Pittsburgh, I think black and gold. It is a city blessed with good sports colors and all of their teams use it... Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates. Why ruin it with those blue jerseys? They look like they belong on a newborn baby, rather than an NHL team.

This is why I can only imagine it has SOME significance, otherwise Pittsburgh just needs to stick with its black and gold tradition.

Do Pens fans agree with me? Or do you guys like them.
