University of Ottawa or U of T?
Hey, I know this ultimately comes down to my personal opinions and such but it would be appreciated if I could at least get your opinions. My goal after graduating university is to become a Foreign Services Officer. I've applied to uOttawa for Political Science in French Immersion and U of T (St Michael's College) for Political Science, where I would take some french courses. I've been accepted to both of them.
I live in Mississauga and my finance situation is average, maybe above average. I'm a good student who gets 80s and 90s. I'm not sure which university is best for me (or best in general.) uOttawa originally appealed to me but U of T is starting to look just as good. What would you suggest?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoI'm not taking Math or Sciences, do I still have a future?
I'm an 11th grade student (this isn't my account) and I am starting to wonder whether I can have a successful future. I know this sounds odd, but I just selected my courses for grade 12 and none of them are maths or sciences. When I tell people- whether it be my parents or my peers- they ask what I want to be when I grow up and all I can say is that it will be somewhere in Social Sciences, English or French. People say that Math is what you should take if you want to get into a University. I am terrible at math.
I am not sure what I'm asking, I think what I would like to hear is reassurance or a testimonial of someone succeeding without M & S. I feel like my life is headed into a basic job (cashier, waiter) or into waiting endlessly for a job offer in a not-in-demand discipline, like Anthropology or Journalism.
In case it actually matters, here's my courses for next year: Law, Politics, World History, French, Graphics, English, Writer's Craft and Philosophy. All of those courses are University-level and I have gotten mid to high 80's easily in similar courses. The paths I would pursue are Journalism, Law, Education, Advertising, French related careers (ie. Translator) or Sociology.
6 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoScattergories rule help?
My family plays Scattergories with our own topics, but no rule change.
The letter is 'N' and one person writes News (something at a convention) and No News Is Good News (well known saying.)
Another person says that because the second answer has the word 'news,' it does not count.
What would you say is correct?
1 AnswerBoard Games1 decade agoI discovered that my dad is cheating on my mom, what to do?
Here's a back story, so cuddle up to something soft and get ready. My parents were married in April and I was born in August of that year. Obviously, they got married because my mom was pregnant. Growing up, and even before I discovered this, I always thought they were perfect and in love. They rarely fight. My dad works a long shift, because he's a workaholic. He leaves for work at 5 AM and gets home as late as 10PM. It was this past January, he went to Jamaica alone, while we all went to Great Wolf Lodge as a family when I had doubts. So here's how I discovered it; we were up at the cottage and I screwed up the router. I needed internet, so I normally use my Blackberry, but I forgot the charger. I went to my parents' room and decided I would use my dad's phone. The screen lit up, showing a text to 'Danielle _______' but my mom's name is not close to that. It said 'It's so cold up here, I wish I had you to warm me up. ;) I still can't get that image of walking in on you watching porn, it turns me on so much. I miss you and cant wait to see you.' Maybe I'm crazy, but that sounds like he's cheating. Just last week, my mom was watching 'Say Yes to the Dress' and discussed getting remarried to my dad, because their first wedding was lackluster. In addition to this, my mom's a stay at home mom, and I worry that if there was a divorce, she'd have to work more than the average person, having three children to take care of (I'm old enough to move out.) I don't know how to approach this situation, and I'm terribly scared of what's to happen.

Literally 1 billion+, so I was wondering if even a diehard Tory would agree with the money spent.

I could not figure this out. It would be the proper keys to select an image that is not visible.

My mouth is also producing large amounts of warmer and thicker saliva than normal. This usually lasts a couple of hours and occurs when I am laying down reading or on the computer. Any ideas of what this is?
1 AnswerOther - Health1 decade agoWhat do I do if my dog swallows the pink insulation in my basement?
My kids put holes in the polytarp keeping the pink 'fluffy' insulation in, so my dog was able to get to it, and may have swallowed some. What should be done? Is this harmful?

Do they share the revenue earned from hydro in the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence? I ask this because of the slander they give to Alberta for keeping Oil Sands Revenue.

Every Obama argument has "Well Bush was worse."
Or something to that context.
Besides putting his name on a bill, please tell me something decent Obama has done so far.
