I am looking for total taxes paid in the US and please give sources. So the question is of all the income taxes paid in the US can this be broken down by party to see which group of people pay what percent of total income taxes?

It did not used to do this, is this some kind of virus?

I sold my house short after a bad divorce. Just got a 1099-C Cancellation of Debt from the mortgage company that list:

7. fair market value: that is off by 8 million dollars, seriously

I was told that there would be no tax due from me on this sale. Will I have to pay taxes on the amount canceled or the interest?

Obama says we will give other countries $100 billion to fight global warming. I can see the crooked politicians all over the world "licking their chops" at the thought of moving all our money to their Swiss bank accounts. Giving money to third world countries almost always involves corruption and rarely does half the money end up being spent for what it was intended. Does Obama think this money will really make an impact? His stimulus program did not and it al least stayed in the US(most of it anyway). Is this just Obama putting out another program not well thought out? After all he does not have any foreign experience and Biden, the guy with the foreign experience, is a walking gaff that cannot be controlled.

I own stock in a company that has been in bankruptcy and now they are emerging from Chapter 11. I know no one can say whether the stock will go up or down for sure, but I am concerned if the stock will disappear as part of the bankruptcy deal? Can the stock be dissolved completely? The company will be a functioning company afterwards.

My son was in car wreck, the other driver was issued a failure to yield ticket which he paid. However the other driver said it was my sons fault and his insurance company refused to pay. My insurance company paid, but I had to pay the deductible of $800 and we had to get a rental car $1400 while his car was being repaired. If the arbitration comes back and says I get anything less than $2200 back, can I still sue? This is all happening in Virginia and there were no injuries, i just want to be reimbursed. There was also a witness that said it was the other drivers fault.

There is a possible deal in the works to sell the NBC group of stations to Comcast. Analyst are saying this could mean the new management will shift the news to the "right". If this happens will the "left" cry foul play? MSNBC ratings are very low compared to Fox, if the new management makes a business decision to chase ratings, like a well run TV business should, will that be wrong?

She paid for about 6 months and then stopped last December. She makes at least twice what I make. The bills include car payments, car insurance, cell phones, Dr visits, clothes, college tuition, etc. At this point she owes me about $15,000 and it goes up by 1500-2000 a month. What are my chances of winning and how much will it cost me?
