My father was assaulted in the UK a few months ago, and the police seemed to not want to proceed. He was hit three times in the face in his own garden. The guy who did it was cautioned.
The then, on two separate occasions drove his lorry through a corner section of the front garden wall, which my father has now rebuilt.
What would the costs be like to take this through a civil court, and can people independantly launch criminal proceedings?
We are taking legal advice, but any help or hints from people with experience of this would be mych appreciated.
