  • Is 07991 an existing UK mobile number prefix?

I know 07990 is, but I am not sure if 07991 is. My friend gave me one with 07991 and her number isn't recognised. Can anyone help me find the correct number.

  • How to get a correct mobile number in the UK?

This girl gave me an unrecognisible number, but I also gave her the wrong number (access code wrong etc.) I need her number urgently, is there anyway I can find numbers that are similar to the one she gave me that are wrong, assuming that she got a few digits wrong. I won't see her for another year and that's too long to wait.

  • Did J.K. Rowling plan the characters in the Harry Potter series (appearance, personality etc.)?

As we all know, Jo planned the Potter novels for five years before writing the first book. I have seen pictures of notes everywhere on the internet, but I have seen nothing on the planning of characters, such as what they look like, their personality etc. Apart from the names of the characters and a bit of detail about Harry's past, did she plan anything else or did she just write it straight from her head?

  • Macbook power adapter box making a strange sound and not working?

I've had this charger for about 6 months and yesterday my Macbook switched itself off and the power adapter box began to make a faint buzzing/almost cog turning sound. Now my adapter doesn't work, but my laptop is OK. I tried again this morning and the power adapter actually worked until I jolted the Macbook a bit and it stopped charging, despite still being plugged in. What is going on, and is there a way to fix it without having to replace it?

  • Mac charger not working (can here a slight sound)?

Today I was charging my Macbook Pro, and the charger began to making a slight noise (the sound you get when a cog turns). The charger stopped working almsot immediately. It's not fully dead though as I plugged it in this morning and it worked until I jolted the laptop forward by a tiny bit, and the charger stopped charging again. Are there any solutions to this that won't require a replacement?

  • I have an idea for a novel I'm writing, but I can't seem to rip a plot-line out of it?

The idea is that the United States is hit by a nuclear missile that obliterates the whole of the western side of the country, California, Oregon, Washington etc. Though the remainder of the country is not affected by the initial blast, radiation is transported in the air to the remaining states and the whole population become seriously ill and begin to die. The US government then order that no-one is to leave the country as the risk of contamination in other countries is high. If the citizens try to leave the country then the army shoots them. The novel follows a guy called Tom Maynes and his family who try to escape the States because is one of the few (along with his family) who are not yet poisoned by the radiation and so he and his family want to avoid death.

My problem is that I have the idea of America being hit by the missile and everyone poisoned apart from Tom and his family and their attempts to flee the country, but I can't seem to work out what will happen in between the missile hitting and the ending, can anyone help me?

What are your thoughts and feelings on this tragedy? An eight-year-old child has been confirmed dead and up to ninety four seriously hurt at this moment in time, with many more distressed. The day was supposed to be a happy day for the Americans, but it has twisted into something completely alien of that.

  • Tennis Hawk Eye: Murray vs Djokovic: Clash of the Titans?

First off, I apologise so much for the lack of Reviews during the AO. I promised and failed to deliver.

I just wanted to start by saying 'Well dun me lad' to the absolute sporting legend Andy Murray. I was a fan before but I'm something of a disciple now. I cannot believe he is contesting his 3rd CONSECUTIVE Grand Slam final. I never saw that coming... Ok I lie, I did!

Now he is facing the void that is Novak Djokovic in what will be a nail biting, tear dropping, heart pounding, painful final of what I hope is 5 sets. I honestly cannot choose between them who is going to be lifting that trophy come tomorrow afternoon. I can only hope deep down in my heart though it is the Brit.

BQ: Do you think Murray is going to break new ground this year with a win here and at least one more Slam?

BQ2: Is Murray/Djokovic the next big thing?

  • Hawk Eye Review: Australian Open 2013 DAY ONE!?

So the first day of the first slam of the new year has concluded and there has been some stunning match-ups today, with wins for Djokovic, Ferrer, Berdych, Sharapova, Li Na and Ivanovic.

First up I would like to discuss the Venus Williams match. Her opponent was the frosty Kazak, Galina Voskoboeva. The match started splendidly with the crowd clearly backing the eldest Williams sister right from the off. In the first game some erratic errors from Venus clinched the game for the Kazak, but little would she know, that would be her last game. Venus surged through her service games hitting a few clean winners. She did not manage to ace the younger opponent until the second set. Soon 1-1 turned to 3-1 then to 5-1 then to 6-1. Venus was in scintillating form. The second set proved no fairer for Galina as Venus barely broke a sweat in her return games and clinched the match bang on the hour. She will next face Alize Cornet of France who struggled through in three sets.

Everyone was expecting this particular match to go the distance, but sadly it didn't. That match was Hewitt vs Tipsarevic. Unfortunately I did not witness this match, but the scoreline and stats proved that it was close then not so close with 'Tipsy' taking the final set 6-2. The match did not live up to the hype of the fans with was unfortunate.

The Australian Open began in somewhat dominating fashion. A double bagel from the racket of Maria Sharapova threw down her threat marker as she demolished her compatriot Olga Puchkova. Maria started off fairly shaky, double faulting at 15-0 and being forced to save an unexpected three break points in the very same game. But that would not set the match in stone as Maria somewhat retaliated against her demons and clinched all twelve games of the match to brush away the rust of the off season and to progress through to Round 2.

Day 1 was full of five setters on the men's side. With Goffin v Verdasco, Millman v Ito and Baghdatis v Ramos going the distance, with the higher ranked of the two proving two strong all three times.

What was your favourite match of Day 1?

What matches are you looking forward to on Day 2?
