  • In Java, how do I set two variables equal but keep it so that I can change one value but not the other?

    private static int[][] takeAway(int[][] grid)

    {

    int[][] given = new int[9][9];

    given = grid;

    That is part of my code. When I watch it in debug mode the third line changes the ID number of given to the same as grid. I want given to have all the same values as grid but I want to be able to manipulate given without it changing the values in grid, which it does right now.

  • Built-in mic not working on my XPS M1530, running Vista....?

    As the subject says, I am running Vista on my XPS. I tried Skyping a friend recently and under sound settings it could not find any mic. I don't want to have to buy an external one, I just want the built-in one to work. I know my computer has one because I used to use it to video chat my friends all the time. Recently, however, my harddrive crashed and I had to install a new one (I think this might be why my computer can no longer see it), however I don't know how to get Skype to find my mic.

  • Good music for a high school tap dance group?

    I'm the student head of my school's tap dance group. We were invited to do a piece for a dance show and I'm really excited to get to choreograph, but I can't seem to find a good song. Finding a good song to tap to is hard enough as it is, but I want one that is not too cheesy and will fly with a bunch of high schoolers. (We are unfortunately rather hard to please music wise these days). I am having a hard time finding a good song. All genres and song suggestions are appreciated!!!

    I am teaching a tap class to girls between the age of 14-18. My other class of this age is super serious and warms up a cappella, but this group is more recreation tap and I need a fun, fast warm up song for them that isn't Hannah Montanna or something too young. Thanks.
