  • Statistics problem. Can't remember how to compute parallel availability.?

How do you compute availability? For example: given 4 independent trials, each trial has the probability of a "green" outcome 90% of the time and "red" 10%. What is the probability for a set of trials that at least 2 will result in a "green" result? What is probability at least 3 are green?

What if the independent trials had different probabilities e.g. trial 1 was 80%/20%, trial 2 was 85%/15%, trial 3 was 90%/10% and trial 4 was 95%/5%?

Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm not so much interested in the answer to the example, but the actual formula/process.

    Thanks in advance!!
