Where can I sell the scrap metal from a parted out car near san jose, ca?
I have the body from a car I gutted for parts for a project that I'd like to sell or at least get rid of free. I can cut it up and cart it soemwhere but I'm not sure how to find a place that buys them.

I loaned my car to a friend from out of state (NY) he scratched someones car in a parking lot. no police report etc. was filed. he was working it out directly with them but their insurance company recently called and said I as the owner of the car was liable and had to get my insurance company involved. Since he has insurance shouldn't he as the driver be liable first?
