  • Car seat for disabled 2 year old?

My daughter turned 2 on Tuesday, she has CP and is severely disabled. She currently uses the Evenflo Titan Elite, but her head control is so poor that I find it flopping forward or bent all the way back so that it just uncomfortable. I have been searching online for car seats and not having too much luck. Maybe something is sold to use along with what she has now? Or someone can suggest something? Thanks in advance!

  • Mother of disabled child...?

My husband and I have a severely disabled 2 year old, which keeps me from being able to work. My problem is, my husband and I are discussing the possibility of separating. His income was Always too much to receive any benefits for her, even though it really wasn't enough for the 3 of us to live easily on. I am just wondering if anyone knows if we are separated, if I will be able to receive any assistance? I won't even have a place to live. I am worried that out of fear of not being able to take care of myself or my little one, I will stay in an unhappy marriage.

  • Co-pay assistance for disabled child?

I am a mother to a beautiful 15 month old little girl who is severely disabled. She has major neurological issues and wasn't expected to survive more than a month after she was born. She had severe hydrocephalus and was shunted. But her main problem, is that the majority of her brain was either damaged or did not form properly. It may have been a stroke or an infection, no one knows for sure. But the severity of her condition requires me to stay at home with her. My husband works full time, but I am unable to. My question is, where do I look for assistance? We have insurance, but the co pays are piling up. She has physical and occupational therapies weekly. (5 therapies a week.) Her medication co pays are also adding up. Everything we have applied for, we have been turned down because my husband makes too much money. I just find it so hard to believe that $45,000 per year for a family of 3, with the medical bills we have... is too much money. Every hospitalization we are forced to rack up more credit card debt. I am just finally at a breaking point. I dont know where else to turn or where I can find the help I need. I live in NH so if there are any state specific services you know of, please let me know.

  • 13 Month old Coughing, Sneezing and Congested?

My little one was put on amoxacillin for an ear infection on Sunday. Now, she is coughing, congested, sneezing and her nose gets runny. Not sure if this is the antibiotic getting rid of all the junk in her system? And what, if anything, I can give her to make her more comfortable. I am using vicks and a humidifier. She has never had a cold... so this is new to me!! Thanks!!

For the past week or so... all I want is steak. The thought of chicken, fish or pork is not the slightest bit appealing. I had heard that when your body is craving something... it is probably lacking a vitamin or mineral... any ideas??

  • C-Section One Year Ago?

I had a C-Section on May 26th, 2007... and now, over a year later, the scar is raised and occasionally itchy and I still have some numbness. I asked my Dr. about it at my last appointment, said it takes longer for that stuff to go away in some women, and in some - the numbness is permanent because of all the nerves in the abdomen. (Also said to try mederma) I was just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms for a lot longer than they expected. No pain or any real discomfort. Just curious :) Thanks!

  • Inexpensive beef for grilling?

I am going to get some steaks for grilling over the next week or two - my husband is more than willing to have beef EVERYNIGHT! =) I want to find something inexpensive, that will still be fairly tender if it marinates for a long time. We usually do porterhouses and ribeyes, and an occasional filet... but it's too pricey when not on sale! I would love any suggestions... marinade recipes too! Thanks!
