State of GA law - can employer force employee to use pay card or direct deposit?
My employer wants me to use a Pay Card or Direct Deposit and I have resisted this. Now they are telling me I don't have a choice and must pick one or the other as they don't intend to write checks.
In an on-line search I found information from 2005 that indicates employers couldn't force existing employees to use direct deposit but possibly can make it a condition of employment for new employees. However, I found nothing regarding Pay Cards. Also of course the law could have changed since 2005 so I'm wondering if anyone knows and can give me reference to actual statute or code section (or even better on-line link to it)
