  • too much food, too little BM for my 6 and 1/2 month baby?

My girl has been BF for 5 months. I started solids and she is 6.5 months now and this is pretty much her eating schedule. I am wondering if she is eating a lot and not getting enough BM. I go to her pediatrician tomorrow, but just wanted to check here as well.

    8am - Feed

    10am - breakfast - 6-7 tbspoon cereal + 1 fruit (steamed + pureed apple or pear)

    11:30am - feed + nap

    2:30 pm - lunch - 6-7 tbspoon rice

    4:00 pm - feed + nap

    6:00 pm - feed

9pm - dinner - 1 fruit (steam and pureed apple or pear or a banana) + 4-5 tbspoon rice

11:30pm - feed + sleep for the night.

She still doesnt sleep through the night and gets up atleast 2 times for feed.

Because i have been feeding her, i really dont know how much she drinks per feed (around 5-10 mins).

Any advice / help is appreciated.

  • 6 month old baby - sleep pattern?

i am worried about the sleep pattern of my 6 month daughter. Here is her eating and sleeping habits.

wakes up - 8am and has a feed

    breakfast cereal - 10:30 am

    nap - 11:30 to 1:30

    feed - 2pm

    feed - 3:30pm and takes a nap

    nap - 3:30 to 5:30 pm

    rice cereal - 6:00 (or 6:30pm)

    dinner - rice cereal + fruit - 9:00 or 9:30pm

    feed - 11:00pm

    sleep - 11:30pm

Now, the problem is she still wakes up 4 times in the night ... at 2, 4, 6 and then 8am. She doesnt feed too much, maybe for a minute or so and is back asleep.

i want to know how do i get her to sleep longer duration. Since she was born i dont think she has EVER slept for more than 3 hours at a stretch.

    Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

  • Feeding schedule - 4 months?

My baby is 4 months old, and i am a little concerned about her feeding schedule.

She feeds every 2 hours (demand feeds). This is morning and night. She gets up atleast 3 times in the night for feeds.

She is otherwise a very active baby, neither too big, not too small and growing well.

I have read that at 4 months, babies have a 3-4 hour feeding cycle, i am not able to hold her off for more than 2 and 1/2 hours (max).

Why is that so? She is excusively breastfeed (dont pump also). Is my milk not enough?

Her ped has told me to continue with BM till she is 6 months old, but this 2 hour schedule is taking its toll on me too :))

    Any suggestions? Experiences?

  • sleeping pattern - 3.5 months old?

my daughters sleeping pattern has changed suddenly. In her 2nd and 3rd month, she used to get up twice a night, sometimes getting as much as 4 hours of straight sleep. But for the past 2 weeks she is getting up every 2 hours (literally on the clock) for a feed.

At first i thought it was a growth spurt ... but 2 weeks ?? And in the mornings / evening when she is awake she wants to feed even more often (sometimes in 1 hour).

Any ideas on what is going on? Is she not getting enough milk??

She is a very active baby otherwise.

  • 39 + 2 weeks pregnant .. question on sex to get into labor?

this might be a silly questions - but i have read that having sex can bring about labor. Not that i plan to try it anytime soon ... but what about sex does bring labor? is it the semen or the orgasm?

The reason i ask - my husband is travelling and sex is not an option now , so can mastrubation do the trick?

  • Baby movement question - 33 weeks?

I have noticed a slight decrease in baby movement since a few hours. So i normally do my counts between 8-10 pm.

Generally, my baby moves say 30-40 times. Today it moved maybe 15-20. It is defiently more than 10, but i feel a little less than normal.

Is this ok? Should i wait? Maybe the baby is just having a quiet day?

  • 29 weeks - baby movement question?

So my baby is SUPER active for a few days (2-3 days) and then mellow the next 2 days. During the super active days, baby is kicking and moving and turning almost constantly, but on the mellow days, baby is sleeping for like 2 hours and then gets up to kick for like 15 mins and is back to sleeping again.

This 'cycle' has been going on for almost 2 weeks now.

Is this normal? I am worried when the baby has the mellow days - i am much more comfortable to know it is kicking all the time :)

My next docs appt is on 2nd oct and i will mention this to her, but i just wanted opinions on what your experiences were.

  • 28 weeks - baby not so much active today?

For the past 3-4 days, my baby has been super active. I was feeling him constantly through out the day. Today since i got up, baby has not been so much active. I feel him kick every 1-2 hours and for like 10 mins and then he is quiet. Kicks are also not very strong, but they are definetly there.

Is this cyclic thing normal? Or do i wait and watch for a day or two and then conclude?

  • 28 weeks - carrying low according to my doctor?

I had my doctors visit yest, she felt my belly and said that the baby was low and that might be a risk as it might put pressure on the cervix.

Since yesterday, every time my baby moves, i have been feeling a little discomfort way below (below cervix and near the v*).

Am i noticing this because of what the doc said or something that i should be worried about?

    Anyone else faced this?

  • Doctor not doing any tests after 22 week scan, i am 28 weeks now?

I had my 22 week anomoly scan and have been having doctors visits every 2-3 weeks. She monitors the fetal heart beat, checks my pressure and weight, but she is not asking me to do any more tests. Is that ok? What tests should i be expecting after the 22 week USG?

  • 25 weeks 3 days pregnant - have 2 questions?

    1. My baby still hasnt "settled" in a routine. For a few days he is kicking at the same days each day. Then it suddenly changes and is active other times of the day and that continues for a few days. Is that ok?

    2. I only feel the baby kick when i am relaxed (at nights or when i am sitting with my feet up). I know thats ok for this time of the pregnancy. My question is when will i feel my baby kick even if i am standing or sitting and working? 28 weeks?

  • Feel my baby kick EVERYWHERE - 24 weeks and 1 day?

So everytime i feel my baby - its at a different place. I mean, one day it is way below - almost 2-3 inches below my belly button and there i can only feel popcorn bursting and some days it is right on my belly button - actual small kicks .. and every place in between.

Does a baby have so much room to move about? or are my low abdomen popcorn bursts something else??

I have read in many questions here that woman can feel their baby through their clothes as well :) -- so was a little curious...

When will i start feeling my baby when i am standing as well ??
