  • What State should I apply for a driver's license in?

I'm from New York City but I currently attend school in Georgia. I plan on staying in Georgia when I m done with school. Even though I m Georgia do I have to get a NY license since I m technically still a resident there?

Also I'm 21 so do I have to get a permit or can I go directly for my license?

  • Can I still study abroad?

I m in college (U.S.A) and my school has a study abroad trip in China for the summer. This specific trip goes along with my major and I already express interest in the program to professor who is in charge of this trip and started raising money from donations as well as writing scholarship essays but now it turns out I may have to transfer schools after this semester. Will I still be able to do the study abroad? Should I tell the professor in charge that i maybe transferring or should I keep it to myself. Since I already started collecting donations I dont want to not go and look like I lied. Even though I would return everyone s money if i try to study abroad at my next school no one will donate again. If it was you would you still go?

  • Moving back home from college far away?????

I need advice from people that went to college across the country or really far from home. I'm from NYC but go to college in Georgia, I don't have a car and my family members aren't willing to help me move. Coming to school I packed my clothes in suitcases and took the greyhound to school and brought my room stuff when I got here but leaving I will have more stuff and can't do that. So do you have any advice on how I can possibly move out easily.

  • Transferring college twice?

After graduating high school I went to a two year community college and I graduated from there last may. I transferred to my current school and am starting my second semester next week. I want to transfer next year to another school because the process to get to my current school is expensive and a hassle since I have no help. I m thinking of transferring to a school in Philadelphia since its closer to home and my family will be willing to help me move since its closer. Will it look bad since I m transferring twice? Also my current school has a study aboard trip coming up this summer that i m interested and I started raising money from friends and family already. Should I still go on the trip even though I might be transferring also does it look bad to the people that donated if I don t go on the trip. If I don t go I m going to give everyone their money back but will it make them less likely to donate if I try to study abroad at my new school?

  • Campus moving options???

I start college next month and was counting on my family to help me move but now they are not helping me. I was trying to find shipping options where I can pack up my things from home and have them sent to campus but I'm having a hard time finding something. I found one website but my school is not on their list of eligible schools. Do any of you know anything I can use or have any of you shipped your things to campus?

  • Scholarship Help??

I'm applying for a scholarship and we have to write an short answer (100 words or less) saying why we deserve the scholarship. I wrote some things but I'm stuck on what to write next. Also I'm not sure if what I have so far really answers the question. Can you give your opinion on what I have so far and advice on what to write next?

    My answer so far:

I should be selected to receive the Carter Foundation scholarship because I’m a hard working student that would take full advantage of the opportunities this scholarship will provide me. For me going to college is the next step to take in order for me to fulfill my goals. Through hard work and persistence I am determined to take this next step.

  • Scholarship Short Answer Questions?

Question: "How will a $3,000 scholarship for education make a difference in your life?"

    Here's my answer:

I’m currently in the process of transferring from a community college to a four year university. It’s very important for me to continue my education because I believe it is a step closer for me to fulfill my goals. Wining a 3,000 scholarship for education will not only change my life but my parents and twin sister as well. This scholarship will help reduce the cost my parents will have to pay for my sister and I to go to college. As well as giving me the opportunity to go to a university that I’m interested in without having to worry about not being pay the tuition.

    * Do you think my answer is good and answers the question.

If not can you give me some pointers.

  • Changing my last name in college???

I start college next semester as a transfer student and I would like to change the last name associated with my file. Legally I have both of my parents last name but my previous school records only has my mom's last name. When I applied for the college I'm going to attend I used both of my parents last names since that's my legal name. Do you think I will be able to change it to just my mom's so that everything matches up, as well as making it easier to match my transfer papers up. Will this mess up my college information and will I have to wait till the semester starts? I would like to duo this veggie I have to register fire classes. Thanks!

  • College in the Summer?

I graduated from a local community college this semester and now I'm transferring to a 4 year university. During the application process some of the schools had a hard time receiving my transcripts so it pushed back the time for my application to process even though I submitted before the spring semester deadline. Anyways now its the end of December and I'm still waiting for some admission decisions. Also I'm a twin so my sister and I want to go to the same school so were still waiting for us to be accepted into the same school. I'm also having a hard time getting my doctor to fill out the college immunization papers that we need before we can register for classes. Would it be the best option to just start in the summer since spring classes soon start in about two weeks and we're having trouble with our paper work and we still haven't been able to apply for housing or classes and we still need to prepare to move to the campus? Also if you say yes will this set my graduation time back or will it be the same because I'm just replacing the spring semester with the summer? Thanks

  • Aphogee Two-Step Protein treatment?

I took out my sew in yesterday and am going to wash my hair today. I wanted to do a protein treatment so it can give my hair some strength from being in braids so long ( I had my sew in for a 2 months) so its been six to eight weeks since my last protein treatment which I did before I got my sew in. Amway I only have the two step protein treatment bottle and not the balancing moisturizing your suppose to use after, last time I didn't know you needed that and used my own deep conditioner. Do you think if that again my hair will fall out or should I wait till the next time I wash my hair where I'll be able to go buy the next bottle.

  • Need advice on my next step in school?

I'm in a two year school now and this is my last semester and I would be transferring to a four year school but my problem is I'm stuck on what my major will be. Right now I'm a liberal arts major but when I transfer I need to choose a major. I know that I'm interested in acting and plan to be a drama major but I want to double major so that I could have a plan B just incase.I know some people say you shouldn't have a plan B because that means you don't believe in plan A but that's not the case. I just want to be able to have something to fall back on. My problem is I been researching careers and jobs and none of the interest me. I take career tests and they always comes back with preforming arts related things. So I'm stuck on what to do cause I want have both my majors chosen and the schools I want to apply to before I return to my current school for my last semester so that I can go to my advisor and start applying to schools. Can any of you give advice on what to do or how you choose your major or careers in school. Thanks

  • Rejection! What to do?

I currently work at a store but this is my couple last weeks working there. There's this co worker who keeps talking to me so I try to be nice and talk back but now since he found out I will be leaving soon he asked for my phone number. Sometimes he talks kind of low so I cant hear what he says so I just nod that's what happened when he asked for my phone number so I was kind caught off guard when he pulled out his phone and asked for it, I was trying to think of a fake number to give but I was taking too long and it would have been obvious. Now he keeps calling and texting me, I've been ignoring them so far cause I'm really not interested. I'm 19 and he's somewhere around 30 and I'm really not interested and I don't really think we need to be friends because our age difference we probably have nothing in common. So can anybody help me with what to do especially if I run into him at work ( I also don't want him telling people he has my number then I'm looked at a certain kind of way because someone of my co workers talk bad about me already since I'm like the youngest there). There are a lot of workers so I might not run into him again but just in case I do I need help with what to do.

  • Taking Biotin?

I started taking biotin to help me with my hair. My hair is naturally thin because it's like my mom's but my hair had gotten thinner. My hair is natural but I wear it straight because when I wear my hair in its natural curls (My hair 3c4a I believe) it looks too thin so I wanted to take the biotin to help it get thicker so I can wear it in its natural state without it looking werid. I take a multi vitamin with my biotin to help with breakouts but can I also take b complex with them or would that be too much?
